He has just tackled something completely different. Indeed, it’s pretty awesome. The Dallas Cowboys just kicked off Women’s History Month with a game-changing announcement that’s got everyone talking. And no, it’s not about another flashy NFL signing or stadium upgrade.

For the first time, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys are bringing organized girls’ flag football leagues to high schools across the Lone Star State. In fact, it’s a bold move that’s set to transform the sports landscape in Spring 2025. This Saturday, Jerry Jones’s Cowboys’ official Instagram dropped a cool video. Dak Presc͏ott has come ͏a long way͏ from being a fourth-round͏ pi͏ck͏ in the NFL Draft t͏o ͏becomi͏ng th͏e highest-paid quarterback in the league. The girls had the unforgettable experience of seeing their school’s Nike jersey revealed in the Cowboys’ locker room. They hit the same photo spots as NFL players. Indeed, they even tossed the football around with Dak Prescott.

This league marks a significant step in the Cowboys’ mission to have girls’ flag football recognized as a UIL-sanctioned sport. Fourteen other state high school athletic associations have already made that leap. And with girls’ flag football set to debut in the 2028 Olympics, momentum is building.

Our goal is to get flag football for women sanctioned in the state of Texas. I believe girls are equally deserving of the opportunity to play sports,”said Kelan Jones, Dallas Cowboys Co-Owner and Chief Brand Officer.

Furthermore, he added, If UIL makes it a sanctioned event, I think it will be huge for Texas. Flag football is played across America, so why not make it a UIL-sanctioned event?” Undoubtedly, this move would allow teams to compete for a state championship—an exciting milestone for the sport.

To cap off the event, Prescott hyped up the crowd with his signature snap count cadence. It was the perfect way to celebrate the future of football, saying: Here we gooooooo!A new and thrilling chapter in the sport is unfolding—with more empowered women stepping up to make history.
