Jerry Jones Shuts Down Importance of Micah Parsons’ Agent After Confirming Direct Talks With Cowboys LB

Jerry Jones isn’t sweating the agents—he made that loud and clear. But playing the waiting game with contracts? That’s a different story. Just look at how Dak Prescott’s deal played out. With pass-rusher salaries soaring, holding off on Parsons could mean another massive overpay. And let’s be real—Jones might not care about agents, but he definitely cares about his checkbook.

And looks like the Cowboys’ owner is in no rush for Parsons’ contract. In fact, he just admitted that he’d been having direct talks with Parsons for his contract extension rather than worrying about his agents. “The agent is not a factor here or something to worry about. And I don’t know his name. And so my point is…this isn’t about an agent. The agent doesn’t have one thing to do with what we’re doing when we get on a football field against the team. Micah does,” he said.

“To the degree I’m involved, I do. The people that have something to do with what we do going forward relative to our fans and football are me and the player, not the agent. And I’m not demeaning the agent. I’m just saying anybody can do this. And that’s talking directly to a player.”

Jerry Jones says he doesn’t worry about agents in contract talks. He’s been having conversations directly with Micah Parsons about his next deal. He said Micah is one of a very few people who have his cell phone number pic.twitter.com/DCORGH7z7v
