For a long time, Denny Hamlin and FedEx have been a match made in heaven. Unfortunately, all good things probably come to an end, and so, their partnership ended after the 2024 season. But such is the nature of the beast in NASCAR – no driver can last very long without a sponsor, so the hunt was on.
For the first few races, Hamlin has been in terms with a handful of secondary sponsors. But now, the veteran driver has managed to nail a more permanent one for the remainder of the 2025 season. That sponsor is none other than American insurance company, Progressive. The 88-year-old company is reportedly worth $159.71 billion and is expected to be a valuable sponsor for Hamlin.
With FedEx’s departure and Progressive’s arrival, is this the start of a new era for the #11 driver?
Joe Gibbs Racing is excited with the new partnership
JGR President Dave Alpern said on the team’s Instagram handle, “So I’m standing next to our newest partner, Progressive. We just announced a new partner for Denny Hamlin’s car. I don’t know that I’ve seen a logo on a quarter panel, that literally goes from in front of the driver, all the way to the back. Great example of working together. Sport Clips sat back here on some of the other paint schemes. We were able to increase their logo and move it down to give Progressive, which is a really long horizontal logo, the space that it deserves on the side. The long horizontal logo doesn’t work as well on the hood. So we transitioned their very familiar P, and look at this thing! This is spectacular.”
“All the way from almost down on the race track up to the windshield, this amazing P that works well with the louvers. This is an example of when you work with a new brand, we had to go through many iterations to get to this kind of final masterpiece, which I would call it. They’ll be taking majority of Denny Hamlin’s races from here on out of the season. On the #11, which we’ve talked about, the winningest number in NASCAR history. Check it out, it’s going to look awesome on the race track.”
As the JGR president mentioned, with a new sponsor came a brand new livery. From the next race onwards, Hamlin will be driving a deep blue car with the Progressive logo emblazoned.
Did you notice anything unique about the logo? Well, it’s the overall length, which nearly takes up the whole car’s profile. However, they did have to work something out for the hood of the car and came up with a suitable solution.
Denny Hamlin will be keen to open his 2025 account
For so many years, Hamlin had missed out on a Cup Series title. And well, 2025 has been off to a slow start, as well. He couldn’t reach the Vistory Lane! It isn’t for the lack of trying, as he did finish 2nd at the Phoenix Raceway behind teammate Christopher Bell.
But it is a long season, right? And the veteral will definitely want to reach the winner’s circle by the end. And the silver line of hope is the next race. To be held at the Homestead-Miami Speedway – David Hamlin has a track record of winning thrice here!
Owing to that, Hamlin should be a favorite again.
Though it has to be said that Kyle Busch is just one behind him, given the way his season is going, there is no danger of him equalling Hamlin. Additionally, Denny Hamlin will be on a quest to make his #11 number the all-time winningest number in NASCAR history. Think that’s set to happen?
