The past few weeks haven’t gone to plan for Bill Belichick when it comes to narratives. Even as the New England head coach, Belichick was not known for smooth sailing with the media. However, the recent discourse related to his personal life, especially his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, has disrupted his life as the new head coach of the Tar Heels. Last week, the UNC HC sat with Michael Strahan and straight up replied to the looming Jordon Hudson question. “She does the business things that don’t relate to North Carolina that come up in my life, so I can concentrate on football.”
While Bill Belichick might term Jordon to be just his business manager, things floating in the media point to an entirely different scenario. Be it Belichick’s alleged instructions to include Jordon in UNC’s official communications or that CBS interview from which everything spiraled into chaos. This time, too, another Jordon antic has taken up the spotlight, and fans aren’t happy. Well, according to Katherine Rosman, Jordon is using the tactic employed by Taylor Swift to trademark all the things that are in the media related to Belichick. For instance, some of the signature phrases of Belichick, like “Do your job” or “No days off,” were the Patriots’ intellectual property. But Jordon employed Taylor Swift’s strategy of registering them with a tweak, like Taylor re-recorded her albums using the ‘Taylor’s Version‘ tag. So then came the slogans for Belichick with a tweak.
Taylor Swift re-recorded her six albums, including Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version). Similarly came the rehashed titles of Belichick’s iconic phrases as Jordon filed their trademarks with new names: “No Days off (Bill’s Version), Do Your Job (Bill‘s Version), The Dynasty (Bill’s Version), and Chapel Bill (Bill’s Version).” ‘Chapel Bill,’ particularly, has an interesting story. As per reports, her ownership of the trademarks and intellectual properties isn’t new since earlier she restricted Chapel Hill’s businesses from using the ‘Chapel Bill’ logo on the t-shirts and later applied for its trademark too, as Chad Griff mentioned. Fans are not happy seeing these antics by Jordon.

Just yesterday, Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski talked about the whole Jordon Hudson controversy in an interview. Bill Belichick’s tight end appealed to his former head coach to put an end to things and diffuse the situation. “I kind of feel like he’s not diffusing the situation at all when it could be diffused a little bit more. And it’s becoming a distraction to the whole entire program at the University of North Carolina, a little bit.” What triggered this reply was probably the changed personality that Gronk alleged that Bill Belichick had undergone. So with it came a bit of a situation where Belichick seemed to have lost control. And now? Fans are expressing their displeasure at every Hudson antic.
Chad’s latest X post on Belichick’s girlfriend has fans furious. One of the users wrote, “She’s going to be president one day,” while another user wrote, “Bro, she’s so obviously manipulating him. This is sad.” Well, the comments on Jordon aren’t new.
Not just UNC fans but all football fans, in general, know the line by heart, “We’re not answering this,” when Jordon stopped that CBS interview midway, interrupting Belichick. Everyone at the time was shocked after seeing Belichick lose control of the interview, which he had always asserted at the Patriots. What then followed was a controversy that also included the views of his own family members. Most recently, take, for example, one of the fans’ replies, as he said, “Keeps getting worse,” after seeing Chad’s post.
Instinctively, seeing the development, the fans aren’t happy and are accusing Jordon of taking advantage of the head coach and tarnishing his legacy. One user wrote, “Heir Jordon?” sarcastically signaling towards Jordon being the real heir of Belichick’s wealth along with clever wordplay. While another user wrote simply, “So weird.” Well, as per reports, Jordon has gained around $8 million in her real estate portfolio since she began dating Belichick. All in all, the final decision is the head coach’s, and who are the fans to say anything, right? But what should we make of all this drama?

Bill Belichick’s own daughter-in-law slammed the head coach for Jordon’s unprofessionalism. “Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off set, delaying an interview,” said Jennifer Schmitt, wife of Belichick’s son Stephen. The controversy erupted even more when Pablo Torre came out with a sensational report claiming that Jordon was banned from entering UNC’s premises. Of course, UNC denied the report in less than an hour. Still, Torre stood by his reporting and cited 11 sources within UNC who backed that claim. All this has led to a quite volatile situation, and with the latest revelation about Jordon’s handling of Belichick’s brand, fans are getting more and more furious. And now, more drama is in store.
Well, quite recently, it was reported by the NY Post that Jordon was involved in an intense confrontation with Belichick’s ex-girlfriend Linda Holiday at a Nantucket holiday party. Linda reportedly raised objections to Hudson’s presence at the party and instructed the staff to remove her from there. The situation escalated, and Alicia Carney, Dreamland’s executive director, was forced to intervene as she said she observed “threatening body language and escalating aggression” from Linda and her daughters toward Hudson. This added revelation adds one more thing to the whole ‘Jordon’ controversy that is going on, and now Chad Graff’s latest post on X has added fuel to an already burning fire.
