Juan Soto Names THIS Dodgers Star Best Hitter of All Time and It’s Not Shohei Ohtani!

Baseball is more than just a game—it’s a living, breathing story. Every crack of the bat, every pitch, and every moment on the field adds a new chapter to its never-ending drama. And right now, one name is at the center of it all: Juan Soto. The Mets’ outfielder has spoken up, and his words have set the baseball world abuzz. Fans are debating, analysts are dissecting, and emotions are running high. So, what did he just unleash?

Well, the New York Mets’ Juan Soto has talked about the best hitter of all time. And it’s not the Los Angeles Dodgers’ superstar, Shohei Ohtani. Before delving deeper into what Soto said, one thing we all need to know is that he signed with the Mets for a 15-year, $765 million contract in December 2024, which is by far the highest in MLB history. Soto had a terrific 2024 season as he batted at an average of .288, making 166 hits, posting 41 home runs, 109 RBIs, and scoring 128 runs across the 157 games he played.

Let’s find out now who, according to him, is the best hitter currently!

During an interview on March 27, Juan Soto, when asked about who’s the best hitter of all time, said, “Myself, until you prove me I’m wrong.” That’s certainly quite a confident statement made by him, isn’t it?

Given that Soto managed to pull his on-base percentage to as high as .417, which is the best for any player at the moment. “When you put the bars that high and you put your goals in a big spot, it brings the best out of you. It’s easy to put up there, but it’s not going to be easy to be up there.” Soto was quoted as saying. It indicates that he has been weaving magic and will continue to do so with the Mets now. But that doesn’t end here!

Juan Soto’s going to try his best to be up there, and that’s what he hopes to do this season. However, when asked about who other than him is a great hitter, Soto said, “Freddie Freeman. I feel like he’s one of the best hitters I’ve ever seen with my eyes.” As for Freddie Freeman, he won his first World Series MVP award and also the second World Series. Freeman even had a batting average of .282, making 153 hits along with 22 home runs, 89 RBIs, and even 81 runs that were scored in the 147 games.

However, Soto made some surprising revelations on the reasons behind leaving the Yankees. So, WHAT IS IT?

Juan Soto makes a surprising revelation about his former team

So, no more Juan Soto in the Yankees! While the Yankees may have landed in deep trouble, the New York Mets have got their hands on someone who possesses every quality to be a superstar. Ever since Soto signed with the Mets, a lot of rumors have been in the air; however, his decision to sign was not just about the money he was getting. He rather stressed the other factors, be it family matters or personal matters, that contributed to his decision to join hands with the Mets.

However, during the ESPN MLB interview, Soto confirmed that the amount for which he was signed was way more than he had expected. For him, going from a simple kid to becoming a professional was the main goal, and now, getting the highest-paid contract had been more of a dream. Soto even mentioned that he had no plans of leaving the New York Yankees, but that didn’t ultimately happen. Maybe he wanted more money, or maybe he thought that he might have a better long-term future with the New York Mets when compared to the Bronx Bombers.

However, there’s been no confirmation. However, one cannot deny that for the past few seasons, the New York Yankees have been one of the best teams in the MLB. What do you think about it?
