Kelvin Banks Jr’s Glory Moment for Saints Ruined as ‘Baby Vomit’ Plays Spoilsport & Turns Heads: “Stop Shaking Me”

Initially, it was thought that New Orleans might be setting the stage for a high-wattage headline by drafting Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders. A move that would’ve brought flash and swagger to the Big Easy. But in the days leading up to the draft, that buzz simmered down as Sanders’ stock dipped and Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart gained traction as a potential Saints target. Still, the front office hit the brakes on the QB carousel altogether, choosing instead to patch the trenches. The streak of not selecting a QB in the 1st round remains intact. Instead, New Orleans bolstered its battered offensive line by drafting Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. That might not light up Bourbon Street immediately but could prove to be a franchise cornerstone.

Banks, who anchored the Longhorns’ offensive line throughout his college career, was no slouch. Earning First Team All-SEC honors and racking up the Jacobs Blocking Trophy and Lombardi Award in 2024. But just as the Saints made their announcement, a tiny, unscripted plot twist stole the spotlight. As Banks’ name was called and the family erupted in celebration. Banks’ Jr promptly upchucked on cue—mid-cheer, mid-camera pan, live on national TV.

The internet, predictably, lost its mind. “Baby vomit is good luck. Future Hall of Famer,” one fan joked. Another chimed in: “Baby throwing up with motion sickness live on TV .” The best reactions? “Stop shaking me!!!” , “Baby sick asf about this pick and, perhaps most accurate of all: “Shakin the shit out of that baby with them claps.” A little mess for Miss Banks, a lot of love, and one unforgettable Saints debut.
