Just when it looked like the Kevin Durant-to-Warriors noise had finally died down, a fresh spark has fans speculating all over again. In a recent photo taken at the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) house, Durant and Jimmy Butler were seen standing alongside each other. The image did enough to reignite whispers of a possible Warriors reunion. These were uploaded by none other than KD’s agent, Rich Kleiman.
Durant was previously linked to Golden State before the trade deadline, but it was Butler who landed with the Warriors instead. Since then, Butler has flourished as Stephen Curry’s co-star, which has reportedly cooled the Warriors’ interest in bringing back KD.
Durant, for his part, turned down a potential reunion mid-season, prioritizing team chemistry. Still, the fact that he and Butler were recently together in Europe — possibly sharing thoughts on future landing spots — has only fueled theories that Durant’s next move could involve input from his peers.
With Miami, Houston, San Antonio, and Minnesota seen as Durant’s top suitors, Golden State remains an unlikely destination. But in the NBA, the unlikely is never impossible.
(This is a building story…)
