Kirby Smart Receives Massive 325lb News Amid Georgia’s Looming Decision on Mike Bobo’s $1.5M Future

Georgia Bulldogs and Kirby Smart are bolstering their 2026 roster, swooping in several top-tier recruits, including five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson, dual-threat QB Legend Bey, and Kaiden Prothro. They are currently at five commits so far! Well, with strong pursuing ability, the number can go up any day, but even before that, one of their existing commits on the list, Seven Cloud, makes a huge decision.

Oh, and how could you not take notice of the 320-lb giant defensive lineman who announced his verbal commitment to the Bulldogs back in December? During his second season at the JUCO level, Cloud tallied 48 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one pass deflection, and three blocked kicks. He mounted a season-high 10 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one blocked kick in a 21-14 loss to Snow College on September 28.

He is not a newbie in Athens, though. Cloud’s relationship with Georgia traces back to high school when he developed a great rapport with Georgia defensive line coach Tray Scott. “His coach ethic. I like how he coaches. He’s more hands-on with his players. He lets his players do their thing,” Cloud told Dawgs247 earlier this fall. “It felt great. I was glad to be back, really.” Georgia came back in Cloud’s way in April 2023 after he arrived at Butler.

The Juco DL said Scott was genuinely glad to see him back and said he still wants him at Athens. However, with some complications with his senior year eligibility, Georgia’s interest came to a halt there. A year down, and the kid is back where his roots are again, and this time with a quote-unquote commitment. Not only just that, but the latest intel says more. He gives his long-standing Georgia relationship a further boost.

As per insider Jeff Sentell, Cloud will be back in Athens for spring practice on March 15. Can he suit up in the upcoming season, by any chance? Well, that sounds a little too far-fetched, but under the Bulldogs’ renowned coaching room, Cloud will get there sooner or later.
