Kyler Murray Makes Big Announcement on Wednesday as CeeDee Lamb & George Pickens Commit to Cardinals QB

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray is not just known for his plays on the gridiron. The two-time Pro Bowler has always made it a point to give back to the community. “I want to be able to give back. God blessed me with the ability to do this type of stuff. And I feel it’s necessary to give back to kids. I was once in their shoes,” Murray once shared in an interview. In 2024, the 27-year-old launched the Kyler Murray Foundation to support underprivileged youth and those battling cancer.

Fast forward to today, and Murray has announced something special, a star-studded event featuring a lineup of 22 celebrities. On Wednesday, the Kyler Murray Foundation announced its first-ever charity softball game, set to take place this Saturday at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale. This marks the debut event for the Cardinals QBs’ newly launched foundation. Sharing the news on social media, Kyler posted, “My first annual charity softball game is this Saturday at Salt River Fields and I want to see you there!” He also teased some exciting giveaways. The giveaways include his game-worn cleats, a signed Cardinals jersey, and a football. All up for grabs for a few lucky fans attending the event.

Murray has often stepped up as a contributor to social causes. The two-time Pro Bowler once donated $25,000 to support the family of William Cho, a young survivor of the Allen, Texas, mass shooting, helping cover funeral expenses and other needs. In 2023, Kyler teamed up with A Permanent Voice, a nonprofit that helps underprivileged kids, and took a bunch of kids on a shopping spree. The Cardinals’ QB was out there pushing carts while the kids loaded up on gear. It gives me a great sense of enjoyment to see him giving back to the community and helping underprivileged kids,” Murray shared.

And now, the Cardinals QB is bringing a star-studded crew together for his special event.

Celebrity lineup lights up Kyler Murray’s charity game

This Saturday at Salt River Fields, fans will get the chance to meet some NFL and NBA stars as Murray brings them together for a great cause. Through this, the foundation aims to raise money to help kids in need and people fighting cancer. Now for the most exciting part, 22 celebrity guests will be at the charity game, mingling and interacting with fans.

Among them, Cowboys star WR CeeDee Lamb will be making an appearance. Dallas’ newly acquired wideout George Pickens will also be there, joining Kyler Murray’s special cause. NFL legends like Larry Fitzgerald and Terrell Owens, along with some current Cardinals and stars from other sports, will all be part of the fun. The event will kick off at 3:30 p.m. According to the Kyler Murray Foundation’s official site, tickets are priced at about $28.69. And kids two years old and under can get in for free.

At the event, fans can enjoy the Fan Zone packed with music, games, chess, and plenty of fun activities. Best of all, every dollar raised will support local programs helping underserved communities. “This game is about bringing the community together while supporting causes that matter. I’m excited to share this experience with fans, friends, and fellow athletes while making a positive impact in Arizona,” Kyler shared during the press release of the game.

All in all, Murray’s first charity event promises to bring together sports and community in a unique way.
