LaMelo Ball and NBA Fans Hype LiAngelo Ball’s All-Star Activity After Real Mental State of Hornets Star Surfaces

How often do you see siblings playing the same sport? Well, not obsolete, but not common either. Therefore, names like the Currys, or the Antetokounmpos hold significance. Another name that is placed on the same pedestal is that of the Balls. Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo Ball. Unfortunately, unlike his older and younger brother, LiAngelo never got to make a name for himself in the NBA circle. But why is making the headlines in the All-Star?

Throwback. He played for a few years in the G-League and other regional clubs, with little to no success on the court. Eventually, ‘basketball’s black sheep’ chose to create a name for himself in a different niche: music. As this niche now allows LiAngelo to perform during the All-Star weekend, his brother couldn’t be prouder.

The NBA IG account recently highlighted LaMelo Ball speaking about his brother’s upcoming performance. And guess what he had to say? LaMelo admitted, “It’s going to be amazing. I was surprised. Hearing this news, it’s just crazy. Gelo always been on that platform right there with us. Put that song out, really took him over, it’s just going up”. LiAngelo Ball is scheduled to perform his first and recent hit, ‘Tweaker’, during the NBA’s All-Star Saturday night. Being LiAngelo’s first televised show, it marks an important milestone for his music career.

As LiAngelo rides on his recent success, LaMelo indicated how the Charlotte Hornets star’s mental state would be. It is a mixed feeling.  The player was once again snubbed from being named an All-Star. This happened even though Ball had an impressive lead when it came to fan votes.

Ball received another snub after Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young was selected to replace injured Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, by Adam Silver. This led to him posting a video on social media, which featured many purple demon emojis while NBA Youngboy’s “F**k Da Industry” played. Nevertheless, it is nice to see the player being in a good headspace now. Instead of being concerned about his snub, he is now celebrating his brother’s achievement. It was a sentiment everyone fell behind.

NBA fans praise LiAngelo Ball’s achievement while simultaneously criticizing LaMelo Ball’s snub: “supporting his brother”

One social media user took to the comments section and wrote “ppl sayin he shouldn’t have done the interview don’t realize he’s supporting his brother by doing this prolly means more to him than an all star”.

This is a developing story…
