Lamont Roach Jr. Buries Fan-Made Top 10 List Which Has Gervonta Davis at the Top

Looks like Lamont Roach Jr. won’t be able to rest easy until he settles the score with Gervonta Davis. Ever since March 1, frustration has been eating away at him—not just because of the draw, but also because the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) shut down his appeal to overturn the majority draw. And while their rematch is close to landing on July 21, Roach seems to be feeling himself a little too much already. At least, that’s what his actions are saying loud and clear.

Just yesterday, Roach found himself tangled in an online back-and-forth with a well-known Gervonta Davis fan. Well, “fan” might be a stretch—it was more like someone who never holds back and always speaks their mind, no matter how brutal. If you’ve been hanging around X, you can probably guess who we’re talking about. And if you can’t? Don’t worry. We’ve got the answer for you.

Lamont Roach Jr. calling in reinforcements

Ray Jackson stirred the pot once again with his latest post ranking the top 10 most exciting boxers to watch according to him. TOP 10 MOST EXCITING FIGHTERS TO WATCH IN BOXING 1. Tank Davis 2. David Benavidez 3. Vergil Ortiz 4. Jaron Ennis 5. Bam Rodriguez 6. Terence Crawford 7. Jaron Boots Ennis8. Teofimo Lopez 9. Arthur Beterbiev 10. Canelo Alvarez,” his post read. It didn’t take long for this list to catch some heat from critics. And one of the first to sound off? None other than Lamont Roach Jr.

Just three hours after the post went up, the WBA Junior Lightweight champ responded to it. Not because he was impressed—far from it. The real issue? Gervonta “Tank” Davis was sitting at the top of the list, and Roach wasn’t having it. Clearly irritated, Roach fired back with a repost, adding a not-so-subtle threat in the caption: Update your list right now or I’m going tell Shawn Porter to really f–k you up.” Yeah, he actually said that.

Update you list right now or im going tell Shawn porter to really fuck you up

Now, if you remember the Brooklyn fight, Roach has every reason to still be salty. Grease or not, Tank Davis was on his knees in the ninth round. If referee Steve Willis had ruled it a knockdown on the spot, Roach would have been the new WBA Lightweight champion. So seeing his name missing from the list? Of course, it stung.

But why drag Shawn Porter into this? Well, there’s history there too. Ray Jackson has been playfully calling out Porter for a while now, but things took a wild turn when he actually made a fight poster with both of their faces on it. The poster even listed a venue: 1918 East Miller Rd, Garland, Texas. That’s right—Jackson was out here acting like a fight was actually happening! And did the 31-4 boxer just laugh it off? Nope. He made it personal.

Despite being retired, Porter hopped on X and dropped a video message, making it loud and clear that he wasn’t amused. “What’s up, nephew! Uncle Shawn! Listen I’m here in Australia… I saw you posted something at the gym… my pump is already in, you know what I mean? I’m doing this for you so that you can see what power is coming at you… Now I’m here, you’re next,” added the Showtime who last fought Terence Crawford in 2021. Then hung his boxing gloves for good. Of course, after the threat from Lamont Roach Jr arrived, Ray Jackson playfully responded, “Chill dawg .”

And if you think this is the first time Ray Jackson’s found himself in hot water with elite fighters, think again. Bud Crawford had his own run-in with him too.

Ray Jackson needs to steer clear of an angry Terence Crawford

It all started last month as Terence Crawford dropped a comment when Teofimo Lopez decided to let the world in on his past fight purses. Bud threw some shade at Lopez’s earnings, making a snide remark that had fans buzzing. No big deal, right?

Enter Ray Jackson. He jumped in, firing off a tweet. “Talk yo sh-t, Crawford, but I still got Canelo knocking your a– out .” There’s more. He had been riding the ‘Canelo will knock out Crawford’ train for a while. But when he came for Bud yet again, Crawford decided he’d had enough.

Taking to X, the WBA Super Welterweight champion wrote, “Out here in Texas! I guess I’ll go stop by Garland and go see my son @RayJack97010720 you know daddy still loves you.” Now, most people would panic. But not Ray. Instead, he played it cool, cracking jokes like he wasn’t being called out by a world champion himself. “ gone on mane I ain’t got time to be f–king wit you today, you know I’m on this dusty a– forklift ,” Jackson wrote back, trying to avoid the angry Terence Crawford.

Luckily for Jackson, the entire confrontation stayed on X. But next time he decides to talk big? He might wanna double-check who’s actually in town. So what do you think about Ray Jackson’s list? Was Lamont Roach Jr. justified in lashing out like this? Do share your thoughts below.
