LeBron Faces Consequences as Stephen A. Smith’s $100 Million Deal Triggers Ex-Warriors Star’s Betrayal

It takes a lot to get under LeBron James’ skin, but even he has his breaking point. That moment came Thursday night when he spotted Stephen A. Smith courtside. Instead of letting things slide like he usually does, the 6’9″ superstar walked straight up to Smith and let loose. It wasn’t an argument—it was a one-sided call-out.

The next morning, Stephen A. addressed the moment on First Take, but he kept the details under wraps. What he did share, though, was enough to stir the pot. “LeBron approached me during the game, and he said, ‘Stop effing with my son,’” Smith admitted. His only response? A stunned, “Na, Na, Na.” Meanwhile, Gilbert Arenas, who has always backed LeBron—couldn’t resist jumping into the drama.

Taking to Instagram, he cracked jokes about the whole thing, posting, “My new boss man, he just signed his money man down at the goddam n game trying to enjoy himself. And you want to be Akron all of a sudden, huh? Just straight, Ohio. Just coming out of front all these white folks.” But why did he call Smith his “new boss”?

Well, just days ago, Arenas was on First Take as a guest analyst, sparking speculation about a permanent gig. Now, he’s feeling pretty good about his shot at a full-time role.

He even played into it with his post’s caption: “@kingjames I love this Energy but not my new Potential Boss We not playing that Run up on us when I get Hired, we ready to die for these TAKES.” Clearly, he was trolling. But beyond the jokes, he actually liked this fiery version of LeBron.

Why? Because, according to Arenas, this energy is championship material. “That’s the energy you coming with? We winning the championship! Ten toes down now, we winning the chip with this type of energy, baby,” he said, laughing.

But do you know there is a feud going on between Gil and his “potential boss”? And the face off is sooner than you imagine.

Gilbert Arenas’ face-off with “potential boss” heats up

Gilbert Arenas has never been a fan of media personalities reducing NBA stars to just their accolades. He believes players are more than their achievements, but the media often sees it differently. Last year, Stephen A. Smith stirred the pot by calling Jaylen Brown “not a marketable player” based on his sources.

Arenas wasn’t having it. “You are not important, you are a vessel for information. You are a preacher, not god,” he fired back, calling out Smith’s take. And SAS also clapped back, saying, “Get the hell over it. It doesn’t happen.” Then, he took it up a notch by directly challenging Rashad McCants.

“Rashad McCants, yeah, we’ll talk bro. I can’t wait for that conversation… the second I get an invite, the second I have time, we’re going to have those conversations,” Smith said. Of course, Gil’s Arena wasted no time sending that invite.

And now, the long-awaited moment is finally happening. Smith recently confirmed, “I have had numerous people who have wanted me to come on their podcast… but I told them to wait. I got to do Gil’s Arena first.”

And it’s happening soon. “I’ll be calling Gil tonight or tomorrow… I’m trying to come on sometime next week,” Smith added. So, the most anticipated face-off is just days away—Gil, his crew, and Gil’s potential “new boss” are about to go head-to-head.
