LeBron James’ Bronny Decision Attracts Taunt As Private Conversation With NBA Star Emerges

Ever since Bronny James got drafted to the league, he has been put under a microscope by every sports analyst. Obviously, a lot of it has to do with people believing that he is only in the NBA because of LeBron. Even ESPN veteran Stephen A. Smith publicly called out LBJ after his son’s embarrassing scoreless performance against the Sixers last week, “I am pleading with LeBron James, as a father: Stop this! Stop this!” Turns out, even Paul George gave a subtle taunt to LeBron after he made an on-court judgement error with Bronny.

Revealing the incident on his podcast, PG said, “I even joked about LeBron turned the ball over, he like threw the ball out of bounds or something like that trying to pass it to Bronny or we deflected it. And I go over to him and I’m like ‘You know you gotta throw that up. You know you gotta throw that up to your son.’” Yes, Bronny throwing down an alley-oop off a pass from his dad would have broken the internet and the Sixers star called LBJ out for missing that opportunity.

Of course, his taunt on LeBron was more of a friendly dig than a serious one. In fact, PG was left in awe when he saw the father-son duo in action live, “Just to shine a bright light on the situation, I thought it was just super dope. Bro I literally got chills when I first seen Bronny checking into the game and I got to see that live father and son bro. That was a cool dope moment to me.”

Even though Bronny finished the game scoreless, George commended his effort, “He trying man. I salute the kid man. I salute the kid.” And PG has faith in the rookie to become a solid NBA player in the future.

Paul George calls out “Unfair Judgement” on Bronny James, claims he plays the “Right Way”

Well, it’s not easy going up against an elite guard in the NBA. Especially for a rookie who has never been a part of such high-stake moment. But Bronny was put in that situation against the Sixers when he checked in the first quarter and faced Tyrese Maxey. As expected, he crumbled under pressure and people began questioning his talent once again. However, Paul believes the situation might not have done the rookie justice, “I think it’s an unfair judgement… When I’ve seen him play, he makes the right plays.”

Yes, PG claimed Bronny always plays the “right way” as he prefers making the correct pass over a flashy solo play. And he has shown that during his performances in the G League. However, he has been unable to do that in the main roster because of the pressure he is under, “It’s a magnifying glass on you at all times. It’s not easy bro… I think he’s feeling the pressure that when he’s on the floor, he has to produce.” Like it or not, the only way for Bronny to overcome this challenge is by putting him in more such situations and letting him figure things out. Although he struggled once, he might do better the next time he is subbed in during the first quarter. And that’s what will make him a permanent main roster talent. Do you agree?
