Lovesick Stefanos Tsitsipas Gets Served Silence in a Hilarious Dinner Banter With Paula Badosa

Stefanos Tsitsipas and his girlfriend, WTA pro Paula Badosa, are an entertaining tennis couple. The two never miss a chance to tease funny, intriguing moments from their lives, especially when it comes to sharing their love for food. Remember how, back in March, they were spotted enjoying pizza slices on their drive together while also sharing delicious slices with fellow drivers? That’s a sweet gesture, isn’t it? But guess what? Sometimes, the situation over food is not always sweet between these two. And ATP pro Tsitsipas just shared a hilarious glimpse of this aspect from his love life. Turns out, Badosa made him starve. Really?

Last month, Badosa delighted her Greek boyfriend with a heartfelt gesture over her food choices. On IG, when she was asked by a fan what her favorite Greek food was, the Spaniard had a surprising response. No, she didn’t pick moussaka or souvlaki. Instead, she shared a selfie with Tsitsipas and wrote, “All greek food and greek men are the best .”

On a previous occasion, Tsitsipas even confessed in an interview that Badosa not only enjoys food but also cooks with him, “I enjoy cooking. I have a lovely girlfriend that started cooking for me. I’m having a great time cooking and chatting at the same time.” But not anymore. Why? Seems like the WTA pro left her BF starving this time. Sharing a fun banter between him and Badosa, Tsitsipas took to his X on Saturday, and gave a glimpse of his struggle for a bite: “Love is texting ‘What do you want for dinner?’ and then waiting 45 minutes for a ‘Hmm, I don’t know.’”

It’s just fun to see Tsitsipas unveiling this candid moment from his love life. Undoubtedly, it’s going smoothly as of now. So much so that it seems the moment of tying the knot may arrive sooner than later!

Last month, during the 2025 Laureus World Sports Awards, the power tennis couple were seen teasing little hints about their future together. In a media interaction at the event, they sported an all-white attire that got everyone talking. Tsitsipas revealed, “It’s a Greek color. Greek wedding.” To this, Badosa replied, “Maybe it’s a sign.” They laughed it off, but their teasing didn’t stop there.

When asked a serious question on wedding, Tsitsipas answered, “We’re still trying to figure it out,” and Badosa added, “We’re competing like Spain, Greece, Spain but Greece has my heart.” But she underlined that when, and if it happens, it will be “for sure Mediterranean.”

Currently, the couple is enjoying their time together after a rough on-court experience lately. In late March, during the Miami Open, Badosa sustained a lower back injury. As a result, she withdrew before her R16 match against Alexandra Eala. In a heartfelt IG message, she informed, “It’s very sad and tough to deal with the pain, and especially stopping and coming back every single time. Now it’s time to go through the recovery process again… Hopefully I will be back soon.”

On the other hand, Tsitsipas’ form has taken a dip across events. After reaching the QF rounds in the Monte Carlo Masters and Barcelona, he crashed out in Madrid a few days back. Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti ousted him in R32, with a score line of 7-5, 7-6(3).

But even during their low phases, Tsitsipas and Badosa never leave each other’s side. Perhaps that’s the reason behind their unending love and adorable chemistry. In fact, on a previous occasion, the Spanish star revealed how Tsitsipas became her ‘light’ in difficult days.

When Paula Badosa threw light on BF Stefanos Tsitsipas’ supportive nature

Paula Badosa witnessed a challenging phase in her career back in 2022 when she was ranked No.2 and then fell out of the top 100 by 2024. A serious back injury hampered her tennis journey as she remained out of action. In an interaction with Hola, she revealed how Stefanos Tsitsipas, during that period, emerged as her biggest support system. The two began dating in May 2023 after exchanging messages.

Badosa revealed, “I met Stef right after my injury. It was one of the hardest seasons for me because I have never spent so many months without playing tennis. And he brought me the happiness, support, and fresh air that I needed so much at that time. I felt very happy to have light in my life during such a dark time.”

The situation was so intense that she even considered retiring from the racket sport. But Tsitsipas kept encouraging her to keep going. That must be one of the reasons she’s been able to regain her consistency in the last few months, especially in terms of making improvements in rankings. Earlier this year, she earned her best run in a slam at the Australian Open. Badosa reached the semis before losing to her bestie and World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka. Despite this setback, she was able to witness a great leap in the WTA rankings list. Guess what? She’s now back into the top 10, sitting in the 9th position.

However, her injury struggles are still far from over. After withdrawing from Miami, she also pulled her name from the Madrid Open. At the last minute, she came up with an announcement and wrote in her IG story, “Hey everyone, I wanted to let you know that unfortunately I won’t be able to play Mutua Madrid Open. I’ve tried to do everything possible until the last moment because you know how excited I am to play at home, but it’s being a complicated injury. I hope to be 100% soon.”

It will be intriguing to see if she will be back for the Italian Open and then the French Open. What are your thoughts on her prospects going forward this season? Let us know in the comments below.
