“How can this get any worse?” is what must be going through Cameron Young’s mind as he was putting at the par 3 in the 2025 Masters Tournament. Playing for par, he missed a sitter that rolled right past the cup. That’s alright cause it’s a simple bogey tap-in. No! That too rimmed past the hole and deviated towards another angle. Still very close to the hole and Young might be wondering when this nightmare will be over. Another tap-in and it rolled past the cup again, this time much further away from the spot. Finally, Young put his marker down to take some time to compose himself.
In the end, Cameron Young recorded a 3-over par on Redbud to record one of the most comical horror shows. Tour Golf shared the entire episode on their X showcasing the PGA Tour pro’s series of mistake. The caption read “Cam Young…just taaapppp it in man,” with a video attached that showed all the tap-ins and the eventual marker placement. The sad show also ensures that Young misses his cut in the 2025 Masters Tournament.

As one would expect, Young’s nightmare received a lot of response from the community on X. The comments were mostly divided between laughs and sympathy as everyone caught on to the events of Augusta National quickly. Let’s see what the fans had to say about the suffering of Cameron Young.
Cameron Young’s abysmal show leaves the fans divided between sympathy and hilarity
The second round of the 2025 Masters Tournament was quite eventful as the likes of Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau rose up the rankings. But the highlight would definitely be Cameron Young after his abysmal episode at the 16th hole. However, someone believes that this is a norm for the PGA Tour player. They commented, “If you asked which of the 95 players in the field did this, I think everyone’s first guess would have been Cam Young.” They are suggesting that without any visual evidence and only the description of the entire scenario, it wouldn’t have been hard to guess that it was Cameron Young who pulled this off. Interestingly, he did have another iconic meltdown back in 2024 when he broke his driver out of frustration in the final round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Another was a lot more critical of Young while also throwing some insults his way. They tweeted, “Ahahaha, brilliant, couldn’t have happened to a more miserable bastard.” This is not the first time the 27-year-old has had such a miserable series of mishaps. Back in the 2021-22 season, his frustration was split across 5 tournaments as he was a runner-up in all of them without winning a single title all year long.
One of the fans was also a bit cringed by what Cameron Young just produced at Augusta National. They said, “Yikes that made my toes curl ,” suggesting that the pro golfer’s misses made the squirm. As hilarious as it may be, no one wants to see a PGA Tour pro put up such an abysmal show. That was reflected in another tweet that simply read “Painful!.” Fans also seem to understand how scarring such an incident can be. Hopefully, Young will be able to find his way back from this in the near future.
Funnily, one of the followers also pointed out that Young “Should’ve used AimPoint” to hit from the near distance. They also attached a picture of Min Woo Lee using the controversial green reading method when he was 2 feet away from the 18th hole in his 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open win.
