Matteo Berrettini Left Shaken by Jack Draper’s Latest Feat With Burrberry as He Delivers Two-Word Comment

Against all odds, Jack Draper, once plagued by injury and inconsistent form, has ignited the tennis world with a meteoric rise. Undeterred by a fourth-round exit in Melbourne, Draper surged to finals in Qatar and Indian Wells, seizing the coveted Masters 1000 crown and rocketing to World No. 6. This electrifying ascent hasn’t gone unnoticed; the fashion titan Burberry recently unveiled him as their new face, his sharp looks reportedly leaving even the stylish Matteo Berrettini.

On April 3, Burberry announced the partnership on Instagram: “Introducing our new brand ambassador, British No. 1 tennis player Jack Draper. His drive, dedication, and optimism, on and off the tennis court, make him a perfect match for Burberry.” Draper called this a dream come true. Speaking to WWD, he said, “Being able to represent Burberry as a brand ambassador is a real honor for me. I have admired the brand since I was a kid — it’s an iconic house and represents classic British style.”

To kick off the ambassadorship, Burberry launched its High Summer 2025 campaign, featuring Draper alongside Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Draper shared the photos on Instagram with the caption “High Summer 2025 @burberry.” Fans went wild, racking up over 25K likes in five hours. Matteo Berrettini commented, “Ok Jackie 🫨,” showing his surprise at Draper’s striking visuals.

Aside from Burberry, he is also sponsored by Nike for apparel, which he mentioned during an interview following the Summer High photoshoot. When describing his style, he said, “My style is quite versatile, honestly. I can be very clean-cut, but then I can also be quite ragged in baggy clothes. Being sponsored by Nike in the tennis kit, I often mix it up.”

Currently, Draper is Burberry’s only tennis ambassador. However, he joins elite players like Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, and Berrettini in representing luxury brands—a massive achievement. If Berrettini’s reaction reflects surprise at this milestone, it’s well-earned. On another note, Draper is yet to impress his idol Andy Murray, who recently shared his unfiltered thoughts on Draper’s new hairstyle!

Andy Murray leaves an unexpected comment for Draper

On the day Burberry announced him as its new brand ambassador, Draper posted a photo of his new blond hairstyle on Instagram while training at the National Tennis Centre with Jacob Fearnley. However, his bold new look didn’t escape the notice of his idol, Andy Murray. The former British No. 1 couldn’t resist teasing Draper, commenting, “Not sure if you noticed but I think a bird has on your hair in that photo ” While earning a few laughs from fans, we know it’s just friendly banter from the British legend.

Additionally, Draper’s style experiments are nothing new. At the 2024 Australian Open, he sported a spiky mullet-Mohican hybrid, inspired by Australian rugby players. He hoped this bold choice would win over local fans, saying, “I might get a few more fans here because of it. I like to be different and express myself. I think that’s part of tennis, right?” His unique style has made waves, with Vogue recently highlighting his tall frame and Kennedy-esque look.

Draper is making waves both on and off the court, and his latest win proves he’s in top form. The British No. 1 cruised past Marcos Giron with a commanding 6-1, 6-1 victory to reach the Round of 16 at the Monte-Carlo Masters.

Now, he’s gearing up for a showdown against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina on Thursday, April 10. Draper, fresh off his Indian Wells triumph and riding high as World No. 6, is rewriting his story on clay. Can he keep climbing the ranks and add another title to his name?
