“The agent is not a factor here or something to worry about. And I don’t know his name. And so my point is…this isn’t about an agent.” That’s Jerry Jones admitting to having direct talks with Micah Parsons for a contract extension, but not in the way the Cowboys’ LB was expecting. And now?
Well, the Cowboys writer, Clarence Hill Jr. recently hit up his official ‘X’ handle and wrote, “Jerry Jones with blatant disrespect to Micah Parsons agent David Mulugheta: ‘The agent is not a concern here … I don’t know his name.’ Mulugheta is one best and most respected agents in the NFL. Parsons is wise to have hired Mulugheta.” And here’s the kicker—soon after that, Parsons re-shared Hill’s tweet and made it clear that he’s not doing any deal without his agent.
“Facts!! David is the best and I will not be doing any deal without @DavidMulugheta involved! Like anyone with good sense I hired experts for a reason. There is no one I trust more when it comes to negotiating contracts than David! There will be no backdoors in this contract negotiation,” Parsons wrote in his post. Guess there’s a new plot twist in this contract extension drama.
