UFC Vegas 102 has just concluded and with it, fresh new controversy. What is this controversy? Well, that’s what we’re here to talk about in the latest episode of MMA Roundup, bringing the latest in the MMA and UFC world from the last 24 hours. For our first story, we’ll look at the UFC Vegas 102 co-main event and featherweight Calvin Kattar who is facing some accusations of cheating.

Thereafter, we’ll shift our attention to Francis Ngannou, who exposed Dana White regarding his promise to give him the Jon Jones fight. Finally, we’ll sum up this roundup edition with Bo Nickal‘s response to a call-out he received at UFC Vegas 102. Let’s dive right into it!

Did Calvin Kattar grease up at UFC Vegas 102?

Calvin Kattar’s misery inside the Octagon continues as he lost yet another fight at UFC Vegas 102 against Youssef Zalal. But what has caught fans’ attention is an allegation of him cheating, as pointed out by his opponent. According to Zalal, Kattar had greased up during their fight to gain an advantage as he felt the veteran was “slippery,” while he tried to grapple him.

“This is the crazy part – we worked a lot of grappling, and I s— you not, I felt like there’s vaseline all over his legs. I swear to God. “He was the most slippery guy I’ve ever seen in my life. I don’t want to be that guy…but man, that was suspicious,” Youssef Zalal stated in the post-fight presser“100 percent [more slippery]. Nobody slides that quick, no way.”

Well, this accusation is another stinger for Calvin Kattar, adding to the setback of being on a four-fight losing streak. It remains to be seen how he responds to these allegations. For now, let’s move on to more accusations, this time leveled by Francis Ngannou towards Dana White.

Francis Ngannou claims Dana White ‘trapped’ him

Francis Ngannou recently opened up on the fight that never happened – the one against Jon Jones. He claimed to have been gunning for that clash ever since his vicious knockout win over Jairzinho Rozenstruik, but he claims Dana White took a lot of time to make that happen. However, things changed when Ngannou decided to exit the promotion and it was then that the UFC CEO gave him the nod for the Jones fight, which ‘The Predator’ claimed was a “bait.”

“I have tried to fight Jon Jones for four years since I fought Jairzinho Rozenstruik back in 2020. I’ve been trying to fight Jon Jones and they were holding it out like a trap until the moment that I was about to leave and then they said, ‘Okay, here’s the Jon Jones fight.’ But it was bait. I felt they were very tricky,” Francis Ngannou told Sportsbook Review.

The saga between Dana White and Francis Ngannou has been ongoing, and doesn’t look like it’ll end anytime soon especially even after two years of the Cameroonian-French star leaving the promotion. Now, we’ll shift our focus back to UFC Vegas 102, and Bo Nickal who had a response to a fighter in the main card calling him out.

Bo Nickal’s response to Andre Petroski’s callout

33-year-old Andre Petroski has now secured four wins in a row after besting Rodolfo Vieira via unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 102. What’s next for him? Well, he’s confident about taking on a rising UFC prospect because he wants to take on the best wrestlers in the promotion. During the Octagon interview, Petroski yelled out, “Where is Bo Nickal?” And sure enough, the middleweight prospect provided his response to this call-out.

As expected, Andre Petroksi’s call-out went viral on social media, which prompted Bo Nickal‘s response. In his response, the 29-year-old took some shots at fans who have been accusing him of not fighting tougher competition in his UFC run so far. However, he seemed to have no issues with taking on Petroski. “I’d love to get an easy check but the fans say I can’t fight cans anymore,” Nickal tweeted.
