Naji Marshall Contract: Mavs Star’s Salary, Career Earnings, and Net Worth

“I’m a passionate person. I love basketball, probably more than a lot of things in this world. When I’m out there, just to get the opportunity to play in the NBA, it’s unbelievable to me. I don’t want to look back on it and say, ‘I wish I had done this, I wish I had done that.’ It’s kind of leave-it-all-out-there moment.” Naji Marshall’s statement in April 2024 fully highlighted his love for his chosen sport. While his father was a boxer and his mother worked in the medical field, Marshall took a completely different career path.

The passion he devoted to basketball from an early age eventually allowed him to find success in high school and college. By officially making it to the NBA, the player allowed his hard work and drive to be reflected in the contract he signed with the Dallas Mavericks. It’s yielded him an amount that not many people would ever get to see in their lifetimes. Curious to know more about the Mavs star’s paycheck? Keep scrolling!

What is Naji Marshall’s salary with the Dallas Mavericks? How much has he made from the NBA?

According to Spotrac, Naji Marshall is currently playing under a 3-year, $27 million contract. He signed the deal after joining the Dallas Mavericks back in 2024. Due to the cap hit, Marshall is only set to earn $8.57 million this season. This means that the Mavs small forward is the 185th highest-paid player this season. He ranks right between Kyle Anderson ($8.78 million) and Georges Niang ($8.5 million). His pay is tied with that of Jalen Smith ($8.57 million), who also holds a similar contract but with the Chicago Bulls.

Naji Marshall did not have a good start to his NBA career, as he went undrafted back in 2020. However, Marshall was later signed under a 1 year, $449,115 two-way contract with the New Orleans Pelicans back in December. This meant the player had to divide his time between the main league and the Pelicans’ G-League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron (then known as the Erie BayHawks).

Marshall didn’t get a chance to play consistently for the Pelicans until April. He was able to gain an advantage after New Orleans lost multiple players to injuries. He made the most of the opportunity. Marshall created a mark in the offense and used his near 7-foot wingspan to become a memorable perimeter defender. By the time his rookie season ended, Naji Marshall had played in 32 games, started in 10, and averaged 7.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. Marshall won over the Pelicans with his performance. As a result, by May, he signed a multi-year contract that paid him $5.35 million over 4 years.

Excluding the salary from his current season, Naji Marshall has reportedly accumulated career earnings up to $5.769 million. When adjusted for inflation, that amount comes up to $6.2895 million. By the time he receives the total pending amount for the ongoing season, those earnings will go up to a whopping $14 million.

Under the terms of his existing contract and the cap hit for the other 2 seasons, Naji Marshall is set to earn $9 million next season, and $9.428 million in the season after that. By the end of his contract, Naji Marshall will be an unrestricted free agent. Whether the Mavericks choose to give an extension to the player is something that remains to be seen.

What is Naji Marshall’s net worth?

Unfortunately, there is no public information currently provided about Naji Marshall’s net worth. We have a clear idea about his career earnings. However, his net worth can only be calculated by looking at the player’s earnings from his investment/endorsement deals. As of now, he has chosen to make none of those details public.

When it comes to endorsement deals, no official connection has been told to be shared between Nike and Naji Marshall. Despite this, the player prefers wearing the brand shoes on the court. According to reports, the player previously used to don the shoes of his former teammate Zion Williamson: the Jordan Zion 2. Later, however, he switched to the Nike KD 16. During his most recent game against the Phoenix Suns, Marshall wore the Nike Kobe 5 Protro Year of the Mamba Black.
