NASCAR Drivers to Get Their Own Spin-Off Ahead of Dale Sr’s Prime Documentary Release

In the age of streaming platforms, sports documentaries have been steadily rising in popularity. Just look at the All or Nothing series, Formula One: Drive to Survive and NASCAR Full-Speed. Now earlier this year, reports emerged that there will be a 4-part docuseries on Dale Earnhardt. Of course, this has a lot of fans excited, but something else has popped up to make things even better.

As it turns out, another docuseries is set to make its debut very soon, and will focus on the Xfinity Series. The best part is that it is on YouTube, so it will be more accessible compared to other OTT platforms. Titled ‘The 500 Club’, the series focuses on drivers Jesse Love, Connor Zilisch, and Daniel Dye.

The NASCAR Xfinity drivers are thrilled to see the series drop soon

The trailer for the YouTube series dropped recently, with the series all set to premiere on April 14th – right after the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series race at the Bristol Motor Speedway. The trio are the perfect subjects for the project, being part of the next generation of NASCAR drivers with lofty dreams – and they’re excited as well!

2024 Rookie of the Year Jesse Love said, “I am really pumped to showcase this group of guys and how much fun we have, even though we may be rivals on the race track. Fans see us go head-to-head against each other on track each week, but this gives us a chance to show that not only are we fierce competitors, but great friends as well.

Love, Zilisch and Dye are not the only ones starring, former driver Will Rodgers will also feature in the series. Rodgers said, “We see each other at the race track each weekend with the mindset to win, and during the week, we are able to have fun and compete in a different way. Our friendship doesn’t diminish our professional relationships, but instead, strengthens the bond we have as friends.

Shake N Bake Sports, a newly
formed multimedia sports and entertainment company, is launching a YouTube series highlighting the lives and friendship of Xfinity Series drivers Jesse Love, Connor Zilisch and Daniel Dye.

The first episode will release on Monday, April 14, 2025.

As per reports, after the pilot episode airs on YouTube on Monday, episodes will drop weekly. Apparently, the aim is to follow the NASCAR young guns and explore what they are up to away from the race track. Without a doubt, this is a hugely exciting venture and it will also showcase the Xfinity Series in a great light.

What about the Dale Earnhardt documentary?

Of course, some NASCAR fans would be a little disappointed that this isn’t the Dale Earnhardt docuseries. However they just have to be a little more patient. Fortunately, Prime Sports Video decided to throw them a bone and released a teaser a few weeks ago. The series has been marketed as an ‘unscripted project’ and will feature interviews with Dale Earnhardt’s children and archival footage.

As for the main docuseries itself, fans will just have to patiently wait another month. This is because the docuseries is slated for a Memorial Day weekend release. Incidentally, the series will drop when Prime Video kicks off its coverage of NASCAR Cup Series races for the first time. The race that has the honor of being its guinea pig is the Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. And the cherry atop the cake? Prime Video has also recruited Dale Earnhardt Jr to be in the broadcast booth!

Finally, there is also supposed to be a second season of NASCAR: Full Speed. However, there has not been too much information about that off late. However, insiders have promised that more news is expected to arrive soon about the series, and it will premier in 2025. The only question that remains is which will the magic month be to finally air season 2 of NASCAR: Full Speed.
