National Reporter Gives Strong Verdict on Chiefs Haters as Rashee Rice Gets Positive Injury Update

Since Rashee Rice‘s Chiefs lost the Super Bowl, you can see a lot of changes in their roster. Though the star wide receiver, Rice, did not play in most of the season, other players saw moving pieces from the Chiefs to other teams. But while Andy Reid‘s Chiefs are moving important pieces for the upcoming season, they have other reasons to worry.

Many times in the past season, we have seen Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs facing backlash for allegedly managing the refs, for flopping, and for various other reasons. The hate they received last season overshadowed their superb record of 15-2. Noticing that, national reporter Kay Adams has delivered a strong verdict. Spoiler: Buckle up if you are a KC hater.

Kay Adams took her podcast Up and Adams after hearing news about Rashee Rice’s injury. The former NFL Network reporter started, “I’m just going to ask the world, are we really going to do this?” She was talking about the hate Chiefs received even after a big win-loss record.

Adams continued, “Are we going to do this coming off a 15-win season? Three straight AFC Championship wins? The news yesterday that Rice cleared to run routes. I feel like people forget that they did not have Hollywood Brown for most of last year.” And also added, “I think they’ve all gotten better this offseason. And, I mean, I’m guessing this is a Super Bowl hangover argument. I don’t know what the metrics are on that, but that must weigh in here.” And hold on for a bit. She has also added something more important.

Adams lastly said, “I also think I’m hoping they see this and say, ‘Oh okay and here we go on our revenge tour everyone’s hair is on fire let’s go.’ You have to take them out for me to be convinced that they’re not the favorites.” In the last season, a new term surfaced on the internet a lot- the Chiefs hangover. Maybe its people got triggered when Chiefs were going all in the season without any losses.

This all started when fans were saying the Houston Texans were targeted by the refs in the regular season on December 20, 2024. The Chiefs won that game with a 27-19 final score. In that game, the Texans played face fouls so many times that at one point it looked like a plotted game. Well, god knows what happened behind the curtain. But fans didn’t let go of the Chiefs’ empty hands. The Chiefs face a lot of hate.

But while we look into this issue, there is Chiefs breaking news waiting for you. The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver has dropped a crazy update on Instagram, which is making headlines today.

Rashee Rice back in the building?

A day ago, on April 7, 2025, Rashee Rice posted a story on Instagram. It clearly says that the wide receiver is gonna be back in the building. His story has video of him chilling in his car. But the overlay text goes like: “They Just cleared the kid for route tree.” And also added, “Thank you to the man up above!” Rice suffered an injury in Week 4.

In his fourth game of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers, he collided with Patrick Mahomes. The time he hit the QB, it looked like a minor injury. But that injured knee wiped off the whole of the remaining season. In March, he indicated to the world that he was coming back through posting a weightlifting video. The Chiefs HC had also confirmed Rashee Rice will be back.

There is no need to say how Rashee’s comeback was needed when Patrick Mahomes was struggling to throw the ball to WEs and TEs during the Super Bowl. There is no doubt that the defensive squad of the Eagles was great. But surely, the Chiefs missed the WR. Rice played only four games but still managed to land two touchdowns after receiving 24 passes at 29 targets.
