Nebraska Huskers’ Heinrich Haarberg and Dylan Raiola Get Candid About Women’s Sports Growth

The popularity of women’s volleyball has become unavoidable at his point. It seemed that volleyball broke a new attendance or viewership record every day during the 2024 season. However, nowhere is this more prominent than in Nebraska. So when the Omaha Supernovas played National Girls and Women in Sports Night, it became the perfect occasion for Nebraska Huskers sporting personalities to support not just volleyball but women’s sports.

Among the many stars who graced the CHI Health Center arena in Omaha on January 31, were Huskers football stars Heinrich Haarberg and Dylan Raiola. After winning their college bowl in nearly a decade, Harper Murray’s boyfriend, Heinrich Haarberg, and QB Dylan Raiola showed up to support the Novas. The duo also revealed why supporting women’s sports is a far more personal cause than many may imagine.

“I think, you know, being able to support women’s sports whenever we can is a huge opportunity for I think both of us,” the Nebraska Huskers tight end told Ana Bellinghausen. “Having three little sisters who all love playing sports, I just want to uplift them as much as possible,” added Huskers’ volleyball star Harper Murray’s boyfriend. Dylan Raiola also had a similar story.

“Being able to support women’s sports whenever we can is a huge opportunity.”
