Jannik Sinner’s doping saga has received scathing criticism from a section of players for the way it was handled. Stars like Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic have strongly expressed their opinions against this. Earlier this month, the Italian star entered into an agreement with WADA outside the CAS and accepted a three-month ban after he tested positive for the banned substance, Clostebol last year. Kyrgios and Djokovic questioned how Sinner managed to escape with a ban of just three months and that partiality was done in his case. Kyrgios in particular was quite outspoken in his criticism of Sinner. As a result, a fan mocked him, which invited a reaction from Boris Becker.
Taking to X, a fan shared a futuristic picture of Nick Kyrgios in 2084 with wrinkles on his face and lying on the bed. “Did I tell you about the time Jannik Sinner failed two doping tests? The whole system is rigged! Why won’t the establishment do anything? This is why I never won a big title,” mocked the fan as he gave a hilarious account of what Kyrgios will continue to say even in 2084.
The tweet instantly drew massive attention and went viral as soon as it was posted. This even caught the attention of Boris Becker, who has been very supportive of Sinner during his doping saga. Reacting to the fan’s hilarious account of Kyrgios in 2084, Becker wrote “Lol,” as he couldn’t control his laughter after reading it.

Earlier, Ross Wenzel, the General Counsel member of WADA explained why Sinner escaped with just a 3-month ban. He said, “This was a case that was a million miles away from doping. The scientific feedback that we received was that this could not be a case of intentional doping, including micro-dosing.” Reacting to this, Becker supported Sinner and wrote, “Whoever is able to read the facts.”
Nonetheless, Kyrgios remained disappointed with the fact that Sinner managed to escape a lengthy ban while the likes of Simona Halep received massive punishment in their cases. The Australian star made a massive admission after Sinner accepted a 3-month ban.
