Nico Harrison’s Close Circle Confirms Major Betrayal as Leaked Footage Exposes Latest Embarrassment for Patrick Dumont

It’s a hostile situation in Dallas. Fans aren’t happy with things that are happening inside the Mavs fold. Last night, the American Airlines Arena echoed ‘boos’ and displayed sign boards, demanding the dismissal of GM Nico Harrison. While it doesn’t seem like the fans would cool down anytime soon, veteran NBA analyst Colin Cowherd attempted to pull the 52-year-old out of the fire for the time being. Meanwhile, another veteran, Rachel Nichols, stressed that the situation is far from getting fixed.

Mavs fans have found creative ways to protest against the trade that shook the sports world. Even though it’s worn out, I’ll say it once more. The Mavs traded out the 25-year-old generational talent, Luka Doncic, to the Lakers and received Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a draft pick in return. While it was a sin to trade Luka in the first place, receiving one draft pick in return angered the lot.

Moreover, the media reported the trade as a shadow negotiation between Nico Harrison and Rob Pelinka, while others around them had no clue. However, Colin Cowherd refused to believe this. Importantly, he listed Harrisons’ achievements like roping in Kyrie Irving at the trade deadline, Dereck Lively II, and even his rise to success at Nike. After listing it, Cowherd stressed that “he can’t just get dumb” to trade the star guard. But he himself confirmed that an Insider that Harrison was a “Lone wolf” in the deal.

Now that Cowherd’s effort to save Harrison from the went for the toss, Rachel Nichols, sitting beside him at The Herd with Colin Cowherd show, described the ground reality. “I think that they have done irreparable harm in their relationship with the fan base,” said the 51-year-old.

She also stressed that the new ownership underestimated the “loyalty” that Mark Cuban had built over the years. Above all, Nichols added, They (fans) feel very betrayed,” as the current ownership under Patrick Dumont operated nowhere close to how it operated over the last two decades. Mavs Governor Dumont has already faced the brunt of the betrayal. Let’s find out how in the leaked footage.

Following Nico Harrison, Patrick Dumont faced the heat

Earlier in this piece, I had mentioned that the Mavericks fans echoed the arena with boos. It wasn’t just a directionless noise to express dissent, but a well-directed attack on the owner. Patrick Dumont wasn’t even on the fans’ radar until he exposed himself. Days after the LukaMagic trade, he dropped a controversial statement further triggering the fans’ wrath.

“If you look at the greats in the league, the people you and I grew up with — Jordan, Bird, Kobe, Shaq — they worked really hard, every day, with a singular focus to win. And if you don’t have that, it doesn’t work… You shouldn’t be part of the Dallas Mavericks. That’s who we want. I’m unwavering on this,” said Dumont as per Bleacher Report. Well, last night, he paid the price for it too. When he returned to his courtside seats, the crowd erupted into boos.

It was too evident that Dumont had to ask if it was directed at him. It’s high time that the Mavs respond to their fans and form a middle ground. Or else the situation could go out of hand. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
