‘The Caitlin Clark Effect’ turned the league’s fortune on its head last year. Fans started pouring in, brands took interest, and attendance was at an all-time high. However, this year has been pretty unlucky for the Indiana Fever star. Two straight injuries have led to Clark missing over twenty games so far. And the league has suffered for it!
During this season, we’ve rarely seen sold out arenas, even when the Fever is playing. However, the Connecticut Sun announced that its August 17th game against the Indiana Fever was sold out! 8910 tickets have been sold, and it is only the fourth time this season that it has happened. Surprisingly, Clark will not be travelling with the team for this fixture due to personal reasons.
