Not America or Saudi Arabia, Dana White Makes Surprising Confession on Best UFC Crowd

The year 2025 is the 33rd year in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and Dana White is making sure to go all out in delivering the best of action-packed entertainment to his fans. During an appearance on Pardon My Take, the head honcho revealed the UFC’s entire plan for 2025 while also making a major confession about fight fans. But what did he say?

On the podcast, the 55-year-old revealed how packed his schedule is with the UFC as they are taking fights to different parts of the world. After the major event in Saudi Arabia, they are going back to Seattle. The next on the list is Miami, followed by London, England, in March. If that wasn’t enough, the UFC also has plans for Sydney, Australia, in their jam-packed calendar. Seeing that the head honcho has been to several places with his promotion, he was asked one of the toughest questions of all.

The podcast host asked, “Is there one country that you’ve been to that you were surprised just how nuts they are for the UFC?” While many would’ve expected Dana White to provide a diplomatic answer, the 55-year-old was quite honest as he replied, “I mean, you have to experience a fight in the UK. You have to experience it once in your life. The fans are just different over there, man. It’s very cool.” The UK has regularly delivered some of the best fighters and champions in the world, like Michael Bisping, Leon Edwards, Tom Aspinall and Paddy Pimblett to name a few.

In the video, the head honcho stated the UFC is all set to return to England on March 22 at the O2 Arena. In the main event of the night, Dana White has planned to make Leon Edwards return to the Octagon, as he will go toe-to-toe with Jack Della Maddalena. So White can be sure to expect an incredible reception at this year’s UFC London event. But what was the UFC CEO’s favorite event from 2024?

Dana White reveals his favorite event from 2024

As 2024 was a major success for the UFC and 2025 is as packed as ever, Dana White took a moment to look back and choose his favorite event from last year. While many expected it to be UFC 309 due to Jon Jones spectacular win against Stipe Miocic, without hesitation, Dana White chose UFC 306 held at the Las Vegas Sphere instead.

The long-awaited event commemorated Mexico’s Independence Day and was held in one of the world’s most technologically advanced and lavish stadiums. During the event and between fights, MMA fans in attendance and observers from all around the world saw short films being projected on the Sphere’s large screen.

Speaking on First Take, via the ESPN MMA YouTube channel, the UFC CEO revealed, “Without a doubt, it had to be The Sphere—pulling off The Sphere [for UFC 306],” stated White, who was keen to acknowledge that the Las Vegas showstopper will go down in history as one of the most visually stunning events in all of sports, combat or otherwise.

He further added that what they did with The Sphere, nobody would be able to replicate what they did there that night. In fact, he even claims that the efforts of the crew will have to receive every possible award on television for hosting the grand spectacle. If not, then the awards have no credibility. “If the production team here at UFC doesn’t win every single award there is in television, then the awards are BS.” What do you think? Was UFC 306 your favorite event as well? Let us know in the comments.
