Olivia Dunne’s Soccer Practice Goes Off Script as World Cup Trophy Gets Caught in Crossfire

The Fanatics Fest NYC 2025 (June 20–22 at Javits Center) returned twice as big as the previous one, with over 150,000 fans expected, featuring 500+ stars from leagues including WWE, NFL, and more. The festival featured the Museum of Greatness, which showcased $200M in memorabilia, including the FIFA World Cup trophy. Football great Roberto Carlos lifted the trophy one more time. But the weekend took an unexpected turn when gymnastics star Olivia Dunne got involved in a soccer practice session… and accidentally triggered a major mishap. The question now: Is the trophy still in one piece?

Olivia Dunne posted a reel, captioned, “I’m just a girl” on June 20, 2025, where the gymnastics star could be seen trying her legs on football. In the video, the woman had two pop‑up soccer goals in front of her and kept right between them as the FIFA World Cup trophy. She takes the aim and kicks, and instead of going into the goal, it hits the trophy, causing the globe part of it to fall. Immediately after this, she ran to the broken trophy and, after a failed attempt to put it back together, she could be seen running away from the scene.

She wrote in her reel that “breaking the World Cup trophy was not in my bingo cards,” but the deed was done. Before this, she shared the excitement of holding the World Cup trophy on her Instagram. She posted a story with the trophy standing on her lap, and she wrote, “idek how to act rn @fifaworldcup”. In another story posted by the gymnast, she could be seen holding the trophy with both her hands and lifting it up, a gesture quite common among soccer players when they lift a trophy.
