Kris Jenner’s legendary line—“Honey, would you stop taking pictures of yourself? Your sister is going to jail,”- captures what it’s like when human lives become pop culture moments. Similarly, privacy is a myth when it comes to the Paul brothers – “It’s everyday bro!”
The duo has documented almost every aspect of their lives. From breakfast to breakdowns, they’ve filmed it all. Logan Paul was one of the pioneers in vlogging. Then came Jake Paul. 10x more intense. Starting with viral vlogging, Jake Paul eventually redefined boxing on YouTube. Over the years, both have pooled a combined subscriber count of over 40 million.
So, it was no surprise when the brothers announced their Max Original series, “Paul Brothers.” The eight-episode reality show will follow the Paul family and their inner circles, giving the fans the ultimate backstage pass. Given that the duo has been in front of the camera their entire lives, “the Paulers” expected them to be quite comfortable around cameras. But, the reality is different. And with Jake Paul getting engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Jutta Leerdam, things turned quite messy and chaotic.
Jake Paul reflects on family issues
Just a few days before the official premiere, and a day after his engagement, Jake Paul sat alongside Logan Paul with TMZSports to talk about the show. The duo highlighted how giving up control of their content to someone else has been quite difficult and different. It also takes away your power to hide something from the audience.
Reflecting on the change, the younger Paul said, “I think the biggest thing is, like, in the vlogs, you kind of stop filming when it’s the moments that get serious in our serious life. With reality TV, those are the moments where you keep filming and then you put it out there, claiming that they had no control over what Max will put out. Makes sense.
Furthermore, with him getting engaged and Maverick welcoming his first child, things got quite chaotic. So, coming to terms with the fact that “all of the madness” will be out for everyone to see was a huge adjustment. However, it looks like Jake Paul is quite happy with the product despite the struggles. He believes in their show and promises the fans a good time. “I think it’s been pretty crazy and caused a lot of family issues, but here we are. March 27, it’s gonna be great!!” he declared.
While there will surely be some tense moments in the show, it will not be a sad affair by any means. The show will feature some of the most recent wholesome moments of the Paul family, including Jake Paul-Jutta Leerdam’s engagement. However, even that perfect ceremony faced hiccups due to the reality show.
A rocky start after a perfect ceremony for “The Problem Child”
Paul and Leerdam have been inseparable ever since their relationship came into the public eye in March 2023. Given how close the couple is, tying the knot was just a matter of time. However, it was quite a surprise when, on Saturday, El Gallo shared some serene pictures of his engagement ceremony.
Jake Paul took it to his Instagram, posting the pictures. The caption read, “We’re engaged. We can’t wait to spend forever together,” making it official. While the couple is over the moon, Logan Paul revealed how it was strenuous to get their partners on board with Max’s show. “It was not easy and I don’t know if they’re like, still fully on board,” he claimed.
The elder Paul revealed how his whole year, including the birth of his child, will be in the show. Something which his fiance Nina Adgal was not quite comfortable with. However, after constant tries, “we got the ladies on board,” he revealed.
Even The Maverick was surprised at how the show turned out and what the camera captured. However, he also realized that only these moments make the show worth watching. “It’s part of why this show is even being made because it’s a side of our lives, our love lives, that the internet has never seen before,” Logan Paul claimed.
Like, the political scene? In January, the brothers turned heads for attending President Trump’s inauguration in Washington, D.C., seated next to the former UFC champion, Conor McGregor. Immediately, discussions were pouring in about a potential match between Logan and McGregor. Whether in the ring or the political scene, they know how to keep the cameras and the internet rolling.
Only time will tell whether the show will be a success or not. However, it will undoubtedly be beautiful to see both Jake Paul and Logan Paul juggling their love and professional life. Are you planning on watching the show? Let us know your thoughts down below.
