Paige Spiranac Shuts Down Rivals Trying To Mimic Her With a Bold Message: ‘Can Never Be Me’

Paige Spiranac has paved the way for a whole new generation of influencers, making her one of the first to combine golf with social media fame. With a background as a D-1 college player and a former golf pro, Paige seamlessly transitioned into the world of influencing. Her content, focused on making golf more accessible and appealing, has drawn countless followers. It’s fair to say she was one of the first to create a niche for golf influencers, and now, many are following her lead. But while some may see it as imitation, Paige views it as a compliment.

In an interview with The U.S. Sun, she shared her thoughts on the rise of copycats, saying, “It’s unbelievably flattering that everyone sees the path I have taken and want to do the same thing.” She’s proud of how she’s helped bring more women into the game of golf, and that’s a win for her. However, she is not a fan of copying and has a stern stance on her content, which she deems as completely original.

Paige Spiranac recently appeared on the latest episode of Quiet Please with Mel Reid and Kira Dixon, where the trio discussed various aspects of Spiranac’s journey as a golf influencer. During the conversation, Mel Reid asked Paige Spiranac how she felt about the rise of content creators who are trying to follow in her footsteps. Specifically, she wanted to know how Spiranac felt about the many accounts popping up of girls essentially mimicking her style.

Paige Spiranac opened up about her initial frustration seeing others replicate her formula. “At first it was a little bit frustrating, not going to lie,” she admitted. “I think that you put so much time and effort into curating this brand and making it what it is.” She also reflected on the criticism and hardships she faced in the past, making her journey even more challenging. It was especially difficult for Spiranac to watch others rise quickly, landing sponsorships and deals. “To see a lot of these girls come up and at Sunshine and Ramos and they’re getting these deals and everyone’s accepted it now years later, it was a little frustrating at first,” Paige Spiranac shared.

However, her perspective changed as she realized the bigger picture. She acknowledged that her goal from the start had been to grow the game and make golf more welcoming for women. “We talked about growing the game. We talked about getting more women into the game. And now so many women, whatever reason it might be, are now out on the range hitting golf balls. And I think that’s awesome,” she said. Paige Spiranac ultimately saw the influx of new influencers as a sign of success in achieving that goal.

When it came to advice for these aspiring creators, Paige Spiranac emphasized the importance of authenticity. “My biggest advice is to again, be authentic to who you are and what makes you genuine,” she stated. While it’s flattering to see people inspired by her, she encouraged others to carve out their own paths. “You can emulate someone, but they’ll never be me, but I will never be them.” Paige Spiranac believes that each person has unique qualities that set them apart and should embrace those traits. She explained that if she ever tried to emulate others like Mel Reid or Kira Dixon, it would come off as inauthentic. “If I ever tried to post like you, Mel, or like you, Kira, it would come off not authentic to who I am,” she noted.

In the end, Paige Spiranac hopes that other women in the golf world will learn from her successes and also forge their own journeys. “I would hope that more girls would try to take bits and pieces of the things that I’ve done well, but also find their own path and their own journey in this golf industry and not duplicate every little thing that I’m doing,” she said. “Because again, I can never be them and they can never be me.” By finding their own essence, she believes that others will truly thrive.

Being a public figure, it is not just other influencers trying to copy her style. The golfing diva has also fallen victim to having several fake accounts, trying to scam her fans. She has been very vocal about that as well.

Paige Spiranac shares warning to her fans

Last July, things took a concerning turn for Paige Spiranac when she was forced to issue a warning to her followers about scammers posing as her and reaching out to her fans. The situation was so serious that she described it as “scary.” Unfortunately, it seems the issue has resurfaced. On January 18, Spiranac shared a post on X about her exclusive content passes when a fan commented, “Hi Darling! Reply with this lead on our chat to confirm it’s really you, please.” It quickly became apparent that the person behind the message was not the real Paige Spiranac. Spiranac responded to the comment, saying, “I only chat directly on my passes account or my verified social media accounts. Nowhere else.”

In a disturbing twist, the fan replied, “Really? I asked Paige for a photo holding 2025 note and I got it.” This exchange took place just hours after Paige Spiranac had shared her thoughts on a disturbing stalker incident involving Hailey Ostrom. On January 17, Ostrom shared her frightening experience of a man showing up at her home after initially approaching her at a golf course. What started as an interaction with an overly eager fan turned into a terrifying encounter when he showed up at her house the very next day. Ostrom described the situation as “very scary,” and it left Spiranac reflecting on the dangers of online interactions and fan behavior.

Paige Spiranac has long reminded her followers that she only has one verified Passes account and her official social media accounts for communication. “Is it true that you are part of the money scam in your name?” a concerned fan once asked. Spiranac’s response was clear: “I only have my verified accounts and my Passes account. Anyone claiming to be me or claiming to be an associate of mine is fake.” Unfortunately, these fraudulent activities also involved the manipulation of Paige Spiranac’s image. On one occasion, a scammer edited a screenshot from one of her older videos, removing a headcover she was holding and replacing it with a disturbing message: “I love you, baby. Please don’t try to hurt me! Because I will never hurt you.”

She has always been fearless and vocal about her views. What are your thoughts on her? Let us know in the comments section below!
