Patrick Mahomes doesn’t mince his words when it comes to talking about his faith and beliefs. Just on the eve of Super Bowl LIX, there was this one reporter who asked Patrick, “Who is Jesus to you?” Some might take a few seconds to think of their perfect answer. But not Patrick he simply said, “Jesus is my Lord and Savior. That’s someone I look up to every single day, decide what I wanna do with my life. Jesus is everything to me at the end of the day.” Well, his strong belief in Christianity may not have helped him win a 3-peat a few days later. But Mahomes’ loyalty and respect to the Almighty remain unwavering as he gears up to celebrate Easter Sunday.
On the eve of Easter Sunday, with the whole NFL world celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Patrick Mahomes chose to join and sent a 3-word message on faith, “He Is Risen .” And he is not the only one in Kansas City to send a faithful message on Easter. Even the Chiefs’ owner, Clark Hunt’s wife, Tavia Hunt, made a post on Easter, with the caption “He is risen!”
