Patrick Reed WITB March 2025: LIV Golf Pro’s Golf Bag Explored

Patrick Reed has competed in 7 events so far. 3 on DPWT, 4 on LIV. His best result? T8 at Ras al Khaimah Championship. On LIV, it was T10 in Hong Kong. He must be desperate to get back in the winner’s circle, especially with LIV Golf Miami approaching. Let’s dive into the gear Reed is using as he looks to find his groove again.

Reed is still in the 35th position on the driving distance list. He has been able to maintain that with the help of his TaylorMade Golf Qi35 LS Driver Graphite driver, which he equips with the Accra TZ Six ST 75 M5 shaft. Priced at $623.99, it features the lowest center of gravity (CG) projection, paired with an impressive moment of inertia (MOI), delivering optimized launch and spin across a wider area of the face.

For the Fairway Woods, he uses the Titleist GT2 with the Aldila Rogue Silver 125MSI 80 Tour X shaft. Priced at $649, it is engineered to deliver outstanding distance with maximum forgiveness, even on off-center hits. It’s perfect for players who struggle to consistently find the sweet spot, offering the stability of a high-MOI driver without compromising on speed.

He also uses the Callaway Apex Pro Hybrid 3H club with the Aldila RIP Phenom Hybrid 100 TX shaft. This is priced at $269.99 and is equipped with Jailbreak A.I. Velocity Blades, designed to enhance vertical stiffness near the sole. This innovation boosts speed on low-face hits, which is where players commonly miss with their hybrids.

For the irons, Patrick Reed has three options. The first one is the Titleist TMB 716 (2-iron), which he uses with the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shaft and the Golf Pride MCC grip. It helps in giving a high launch and low spin for the long carry distance from a low and deep CG. The second one is the Grindworks PR 101A (5-iron, PW), which he uses with the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shaft. These are premium quality Japanese golf clubs that make the true holing experience all the better. He has added another new iron to his bag this season, the Grindworks PR-202 Irons, equipped with the same shaft.

Patrick Reed tries maintaining the same streak of not dropping down below the top 50 not just in his long games, but in the greens too. And with what has he been able to do that?

Patrick Reed has three different options when it comes to wedges, Cleveland RTX6 Zipcore (50°), Titleist Vokey Design SM9 (56°), and the Titleist Vokey Design SM10 (60°). He equips them all with the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shaft and the Golf Pride MCC grip. Despite all the options, he only ranks 40 on the GIR list.

Finally, he has been using the Scotty Cameron TourType Timeless Putter 2.5 model for putting the balls stuck on the lip of the holes. This has helped him in gaining a putting average of 1.64. Priced at $499, this gives a softer, and less angular approach to putting. He completes his kit with golfers’ favorite Titleist Pro V1x Ball.

Do you think these will finally help him get a breakthrough this season? Stay tuned to find out!
