After they began dating in 2014, Taylor and Shumpert got married in 2016. The two welcomed their first daughter, Junie, in 2015, and their second daughter, Rue, in 2020. The singer reportedly filed for divorce back in January 2023, as per TMZ. Later, Taylor expressed her frustration over the leaked details.
However, when speaking of her ex-husband, Taylor confirmed that the two are still friends and are co-parenting their kids. “We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children,” she explained. But things aren’t quite the same now. While Taylor’s filings show that the two got divorced in 2024, their divorce settlement took a lengthy amount of time.
After discovering fake details of their divorce settlement on social media, Taylor accused Shumpert of leaking the information to promote his music single and filed a motion against him. Shumpert denied the allegations.
Just recently, the former NBA player filed a similar motion against Taylor, accusing her of revealing details of their divorce settlement. He also accused her of insulting him in front of their kids. After days of silence, Taylor finally responded by denying all the accusations as per In Touch. Despite her efforts, their divorce settlement details have continued to make the rounds on social media. This is all that is known so far.
