“Rest in Peace”: 16-Year-Old Track & Field Star’s Fatal Death Sends Shocks to Olympics Community

The Frisco High School track meet had never expected to see such a day in its history. The key aim of the track meet has been to find the local talents who come with a huge potential. However, on April 2, things didn’t go as planned. The University Interscholastic League’s (UIL) District 11-5A championship track meet changed things. How?

As per the news update, on April 2, someone was arrested on a murder charge after something unexpected happened at the Frisco Independent School District’s Kuykendall Stadium. The report claims that the victim, Austin Metcalf, a 16-year-old student-athlete from Frisco’s Memorial High School, was brutally stabbed by another student after an altercation between the two. However, the police department confirmed that the victim couldn’t be saved despite being brought to the life support facilities without wasting any time. Now, in the wee hours of April 3, WFAA shared the news through its X-handle. As expected, the news attracted a lot of grieving voices.
