Right now, Ruoning Yin is in roaring form. The Chinese golfer is currently vying for her sixth LPGA title win at the Black Desert Championship in Utah. Despite struggling with a 1 under par score on the first day, she fought hard and made her total 6 under par after Saturday. On Sunday, she did the unthinkable and scored ten brilliant birdies, 5 on the front nine and 5 on the back nine, to finish 16 under par and 2 strokes behind the leader Hae-ran Ryu.
The third day is extremely crucial for the Chinese golfer who is coming off a disappointing playoff loss at the recently concluded Chevron Championship. But what are her trusted choices of weapons for the golf course? Yin has a partnership deal with Callaway Golf and mostly uses Callaway golf equipment on the course. Let’s take a look at what she carries with her to the golf course.
The drivers, woods, and irons of choice for Ruoning Yin
Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond (8.5 degrees) with a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 6 S Shaft is the driver being used by the Chinese golfer. The driver head offers lower spin, lower launch, and control over the shape of the shots. The forgiveness allows for it to be played by a wide range of handicaps. It costs nearly $600 but makes for a good addition to the bag
Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max (15 degrees) and the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max (19 degrees) are the 3-wood and 5-wood clubs used by the 2023 Women’s PGA Championship winner. Costing nearly $350, the woods allow for easy flight and are also high in the forgiveness category. The loft options are also exemplary.

The full set of irons Yin uses costs nearly $1600, which is the Callaway Apex Pro series. The 5-time LPGA winner uses it with a Nippon N.S. Pro 950 S Shaft. You can feel a bit good about your club when the only negative aspect of it is the price. The Apex Pro series offers lots of advantages, including soft feel, good distance coverage, and enough forgiveness. It also gives good feedback regarding mishits, allowing you to make changes at a faster pace.
Wedge and Putter used by Ruoning Yin
Ruoning Yin has the Callaway Jaws Raw (50, 54, 58) as her choice of wedge, which she combines with the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S200 shaft. The classic-looking wedge has a lot of aggressive grooves, which will help improve the overall spin and feel of the ball. Callaway has designed the face in such a way that the ball stops where you want it to. A great way to improve your game from the bunkers, available at $150
The putter Yin uses is the Odyssey Ai-One Jailbird Mini CH, which costs nearly $300. The face is designed using Artificial Intelligence and has the advantage of being resistant to mishits and allowing the ball to have a stable trajectory with optimum spin once it has been struck. It is an effective putter on the slower greens.
Callaway Chrome Tour is the ball Yin uses. It is available for $70 and is very similar to the highly popular Titleist ProV1, which a lot of professional golfers use. It is a medium-fell ball with low spin, perfect for the long game. Yin also uses Callaway apparel, often seen in a Callaway polo and a whit Callaway cap.
Can the Chinese golfer use her Callaway Golf Arsenal and make a push for her first title on the LPGA Tour this season?
