NASCAR friendship is not all about racing side by side—it‘s about the raw, imperfect, off-track moments that keep fans riveted. Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace share one of those friendships that‘s equal measures chaos and heart.“I raised that little kid,” declared Wallace while trading trash talk in lighter off-season moments around the Las Vegas race, aiming it toward Blaney. Seems like these two have delivered light jabs over many things: wrecks, feuds, and now, babies. Their latest social feud over Wallace‘s newborn, Becks, has everyone in an uproar, and it‘s an emotional rollercoaster that indicates just how deep their bond goes.
Some of NASCAR‘s greatest friendships only get stronger outside the racetrack, and these two are a testament. From late-night sessions to taking responsibility after on-track calamities, they‘ve created something genuine. Remember Las Vegas? Blaney admitted, “I screwed up at Vegas and ended Noah [Gragson] and Bubba’s race.” They patched it up—because that’s what friends do. But Wallace was fuming and expressed his agony.
Who made Bubba Wallace’s baby cry?
Wallace said, “We were supposed to have a good time, and he just had to pull some nonsense.” Blaney owned it, saying, “I messed up, but I’m accountable. It’s about redemption with us.” That tug–of–war keeps their friendship gritty and real, and fans can‘t help themselves. Then came the tweet that lit the internet on fire.
On April 3, 2025, Wallace posted on X, “When @Blaney makes your kid cry, you tweet about it. New Miami YouTube vlog out now link in bio .” But Blaney wasn’t about to let that slide. He clapped back with, “Terrible context. Was crying when I received said son. Fails to mention he and I were chillin on the way home from Miami. I believe he even called me daddy but I ain’t here to stir the pot.” The “daddy” jibe had everyone slyly laughing. It’s peak Blaney—sassy, heartfelt, and just a little absurd.

It’s more than a good-natured one-liner. Blaney and Wallace‘s amusing social media drama about Becks proves their friendship is coming of age. Even their own families are privy to it. Gianna Blaney recently hung out with Becks and posted on Instagram, “I had the best day,” a simple five-word line that says it all. It’s not just the guys; their whole crew feels the love!
Even their NASCAR buddies see it. Chase Elliott, who felt left out, said, “I was not invited to Hawaii. Those two are always up to something.” His friendship with Wallace steals the show. As with Gragson and Gilliland‘s friendly sparring, Blaney and Wallace feed on a combination of genuine competition and camaraderie.
And here we are, witnessing two NASCAR legends exchange barbs over a sobbing baby and a ride home. It‘s not only drama—it‘s love, coated in sarcasm and a whole lot of history. Blaney‘s “daddy“ comment was the icing on the cake of something that‘s survived wrecks and captured hearts- friendship. And for real, we wouldn‘t have it any other way. While Bubba is taking care of his children, Blaney is taking care of many. And we are not talking about his own babies!
Ryan Blaney opens his heart for a good cause
Ryan Blaney is not only a NASCAR champion—he‘s a man with a large heart, and you can tell. Recently, he spoke straight about something near and dear to his heart, his efforts with the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation and their partner, Window World. It‘s not racing this time—it‘s aiding people, particularly children, waging tough battles with their health. And when Blaney speaks about it, you can tell how much it means to him.
This all resonated during a special moment at the Cook Out 400 weekend at Martinsville Speedway on March 30, 2025. Blaney, together with Window World and the Ridge Racer donor program, presented a $25,000 check to Duke Children‘s Hospital. It wasn‘t a photo opportunity.“To see Window World step up again and give this generous donation to Duke Children’s Hospital, it really means a lot,” Blaney said. “We’ve been able to do this the last couple years, and every time we do, it’s awesome to see the support for such an amazing cause.”
Blaney knows the racetrack routine; he‘s in his 10th year with Team Penske behind the wheel of the No. 12 Ford Mustang Dark Horse. But out of the driver’s seat, he‘s fighting for something greater. The foundation, which was begun by his family, partnered with Window World in 2020 to assist children’s hospitals such as Duke and Levine in Charlotte. Why? Because Blaney understands racing isn‘t all; health is. “Being able to partner with Window World to support children’s hospitals and help families and kids who are going through tough times is huge,” he said. “It’s been awesome to see how much they care about giving back.”
That day at Martinsville wasn’t all smooth, though. Blaney finished 11th after starting 32nd, not the win he wanted. Still, the real victory came with that check. Window World’s VP of Marketing, Tammy Whitworth, was there too, and you could tell she felt it just as much. “Partnering with the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation allows us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families facing medical challenges,” she said. “We’re honored to support Duke Children’s Hospital and their incredible efforts to provide care and hope.”
It’s not just talk; Blaney’s seen the impact. Last year, he visited Levine Children’s Hospital with Window World and met kids fighting brain tumors and cancer. “Seeing what those kids and families go through, it sticks with you,” he said. “Anything we can do to help, even a little, feels good.” Blaney is tough on the track but soft where it counts.
So yeah, he’s a champ with 13 Cup Series wins, including that Martinsville victory in November 2024 that got Team Penske their 100th Ford win. This is different. This is him winning in life as he empowers others. “I’m proud to be part of this,” Blaney said. “Seeing companies like Window World step up, it’s a reminder there’s more to life than racing.” And for a guy who lives at 200 mph, that’s saying something.
