“There was a note we saved — I think I was in 7th grade — that I wrote, and I said I was going to marry Ryan. We’ve always been best friends.” Ryan Day and his wife Nina’s friendship started at the ages of six and seven, and ever since, it has bloomed despite everything. The duo played T-ball together, went to the same school and high school, and later even attended the same college. Nina’s wish at seven years old was fulfilled as Ryan Day found the ‘one.’ And now? Their son may have also found his ‘the one.’ We are talking about Ryan Jr.
Ryan Day’s son, RJ, is long-time rumored to be in a relationship with Grace Shaffer, who is a student at the University of Tennessee. While their relationship isn’t confirmed, we regularly see the 16-year-old and his girlfriend posting adorable pictures on Instagram. The duo was seen together in the playoffs’ first round, as both were donning Ohio State’s signature red colors and smiling together on the sidelines.
Later, we saw the duo at an NHL game as Grace Shaffer posted a picture standing with Ryan Jr., with RJ sporting his infectious smile. So, these moments have created hype and speculation regarding the duo’s relationship, as they are also seen together at Ohio State’s campus several times. But now, with the recent update Grace posted, it may be the official acknowledgment that the duo is actually dating.
Grace shared several photos on her IG account with Ryan Jr. sporting a dashing black tuxedo and her wearing an adorable pink dress. Grace captioned the post and wrote, “My handsome date and I.” Well, the duo is seen preparing for their prom night, with Grace posting more than 11 pictures. And each one of them looks bewitching.
In the second picture, RJ can be seen picking Grace up with his hands as she looks delighted and is showcasing his flowers in one hand. In the next photo, Grace looks to fix a rose on RJ’s lapel as he is standing happily, smiling, looking at her. But the best picture undoubtedly was the duo’s shot taken from the back as both are walking hand in hand together on the pavement and looking like those romantic scenes from the movies. Even Ryan Day himself shared a photo on his IG story with a happy RJ as he points to his dashingly dressed son in that sleek black tuxedo. But RJ is even more impressive when it comes to his career.
RJ Day flaunts his latest offer from a former Heisman winner
Apart from being the ladies’ guy, RJ is also looking forward to stepping into his father, Ryan Day’s, shoes and entering college football for good. Being a prospect of the 2027 class, Ryan Jr. stands at 6’0″ and 204 lb. and plays for St. Francis DeSales (Columbus, Ohio) as a QB. So far, the player has gotten 14 offers, including teams like Syracuse and Temple. The QB even announced his latest offer.
Eddie George, the former Ohio State player and Heisman winner, is in his first year as the head coach at Tennessee State, and the guy has now noticed Ryan Jr.’s talent. On March 29th, the QB shared the news and announced his latest offer to the public, praising the head coach. “Coach George is first class.”
In high school, RJ is gradually progressing to take the next step. As a sophomore, the QB threw for 1,425 yards for 14 touchdowns and became the school’s all-time leading passer. The performance took his career total yards to 2,993 and even earned him a second-team, district honor. So, recruitment is something the guy is perfectly managing, along with managing his love life with his girlfriend, Grace. For now, Ryan Day would be proud that his son is nailing his love life and also doing the same with his football career.
