Savannah James Engages in Hateful Activity to Accompany Daughter Zhuri Amid LeBron James’ Recovery From Illness

A recent viral clip had fans talking as LeBron James and his wife, Savannah James, were caught in a hotel lobby moment that felt straight out of a sitcom. LeBron, gripping Savannah’s hand tightly, wasn’t letting her go anywhere—even as she tried to dash off. To make it even funnier, he managed to keep hold of a full glass bottle in the same hand, all while staring straight ahead, completely unbothered. Where was Savannah trying to escape to? No one knows, but one thing’s for sure—the 4x MVP wasn’t letting it happen.

And that wasn’t the only time she found herself trapped this week.

On Wednesday, she shared an Instagram Story from a trip to the zoo with her daughter, Zhuri, where she was forced into another situation she couldn’t slip away from. This time, it was flamingos. Holding a feeder while the birds swarmed, Savannah made her feelings clear, writing, “I hate a bird” over the video. But like any dedicated mom, she powered through, adding, “Anything for the girl.”

Zhuri, who looked just as hesitant, might not have been as into the experience as Savannah had hoped. Still, the mother-daughter duo made the most of their outing, with Savannah later posting clips of Zhuri feeding a giraffe. While the 21x All-Star continues recovering from his illness, Savannah is out here facing her own struggles—whether it’s escaping her husband’s grip or surviving a face-off with birds.

While Savannah was busy facing her bird fears for Zhuri, LeBron James had his own battle—one that had nothing to do with flamingos but could still throw him off.

After the Lakers’ 104-98 win over the Rockets, LeBron didn’t look like a guy celebrating. He left the arena clutching hot tea and a bag of cold medicine, clearly under the weather.

Even with a clutch block on Alperen Sengun, he wasn’t himself, finishing with just 16 points. And with the Warriors up next tomorrow, this couldn’t have come at a worse time. But if there’s one thing we know about LeBron, he’s not letting a cold keep him from showing up when it matters.

But while LeBron fights through his illness, another James has been battling something completely different—finding his own path.

Savannah and LeBron James let Bryce make his own decision

Bryce James’ path has been nothing like his older brother Bronny’s. While Bronny thrived in the spotlight, Bryce’s high school career has been anything but smooth. He had the talent but struggled to carve out a role at Sierra Canyon, a school packed with elite prospects. Frustration grew as minutes stayed limited, and things reached a breaking point when his parents took charge of his future.

LeBron and Savannah, wanting the best for him, moved Bryce to Campbell Hall, then to Notre Dame. But instead of thriving, he felt out of place. Eventually, Bryce did something unexpected—he pushed back. Instead of going along with his parents’ decisions, he spoke up, telling them he wasn’t happy.

The 4x Champion later recalled the moment, saying, “Our youngest did the same thing. Because of the way we raised him and some of the things going on at school that we didn’t like, we pretty much forced him to transfer in the summer. He wanted to stay, but finally, he came to us and said he wasn’t happy with the places we sent him, so he ended up coming back.”

Returning to Sierra Canyon wasn’t just about basketball—it was Bryce choosing his own path. LeBron respected it, realizing his son needed to face adversity instead of running from it. That resilience paid off. On March 14, Bryce helped Sierra Canyon win the CIF Division 1 state championship. He only scored three points, but his presence mattered. LeBron, still recovering from his groin injury, was there to celebrate. For Bryce, this wasn’t just another title—it was proof that trusting himself had led him to the right place.
