Yet, the Timberwolves kept the competition close and took the game down to the very last second. A lot of it because of Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s surprising scoring outburst!
Yes, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s cousin played arguably his best game of these playoffs, dropping 23 points on 9 of 15 shooting. He shot five three pointers and had OKC stressed out all game. Although the Thunder ended up winning by two points, SGA had high praise for Nickeil during his postgame interview, “Yeah, it was close to it. Hell of a game. They’re a really good team, so you try to do a good job on their main guys and their B, C, and D guys get off and they’re a really good team and you gotta try to do the job all the way around. Its harder than it looks but they’re a good team. So, guys are gonna play well. We’re just gonna have to figure out how to win. And we got a win tonight, so we’re happy.”
