Shaquille O’Neal Helps Stephen Curry Navigate Hamstring Injury as Lauren Jbara Confirms Warriors Private Meeting

After cruising past the first round of playoffs, the Dub Nation was cheering for their team and the legend Stephen Curry. But on Tuesday, May 6, he suddenly started limping. As he grinned, everyone quickly sensed that something was not right. 8 minutes 19 seconds remained in the 2nd quarter against Timberwolves when the HC Steve Kerr took the hard decision and took him off the court. The Warriors somehow won the game 99-88, but the legend is getting advice from other greats who have seen the game very closely and been through such situations.

While discussing the situation on the May 7 episode of the House of Highlights show, Shaquille O’Neal suggested that Curry and his team talk to other players, particularly Jimmy Butler III, to lead them and win the next game at any cost. Kerr has already said that Curry will miss the next game as he is out for 1 week. However, Shaq wanted the player to be more careful.

While talking about injury, he said, “So you know you have to be very delicate with the hamstrings. I know they said he’s going to be re-evaluated in a week, but I agree with Chuck — no conditioning, no working out, then try to come back and go full speed. He could even tear it even more.

NBA reporter Lauren Jbara revealed more news about Steph Curry’s injury. The Warriors are planning to re-evaluate him on Wednesday, hoping he could somehow play in Game 5 — as noted by Ernie Johnson. However, if he isn’t ready then, they are going with an alternative strategy.

Kerr said, “We can rely on our defense and we have to generate offense, you know, off of our D. And then we got to figure out different ways to attack without Steph. I mean, every year, playoffs are about adapting — whether it’s a game plan, an injury, or lineup. So we just have to adapt, and we’ve done this before, and we’re confident we can do this again.
