Shedeur Sanders Clears Stance on Facing Travis Hunter in NFL & Confirms Feelings on Aaron Rodgers

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders was a lucky man last year — he had not one, but two players who are now among the top draft prospects. His son, QB Shedeur Sanders, and WR/CB Travis Hunter played in tandem and decimated their rivals. Together, they formed a dynamic duo that reminded many fans of legendary pairings like Tyreek HillPatrick Mahomes and Rob GronkowskiTom Brady. That chemistry has been their strength. Hunter even boosted his draft stock this year by winning the Heisman Trophy. Now, fans are eager to see where he lands.

Amid all these speculations, the QB appeared on the April 10 episode of the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams. She jokingly asked him if he ever envisioned himself playing against his teammate. Shedeur Sanders also grinned at the question and replied, “I thought about that.” It was the response if Hunter gets drafted in the same division but a different team.

However, there is another prominent possibility. They can go to different divisions or conferences altogether. If that happens, then they might have to face off once each year. Shedeur Sanders has accepted these realities and added, “I know I have to at least face him once. I am tyring to get my play together now.” The smile on his face showed he was ready.

Both of the players are among the top draft prospects. Let alone the first round, they are among the players who will get drafted in the top 10. But things are changing. Also, they want to go to the franchise that gives them winning options. The Browns pick number 2, but there are QB challenges with an injured Deshaun Watson, while Kenny Pickett hasn’t achieved much in his career till now.

While Hunter is waiting for his place and talking to different teams, Shedeur Sanders has been visiting teams. He met the Steelers coaches and staff in the facility on Thursday. That’s when he got knocked hard with the actual truth. He might have to sit on a bench. Wait, what? Yes, that could very well happen.

Shedeur Sanders is ready for his destiny

There is always the factor of talent. But the role of destiny cannot be ignored. It is clear in the Colorado QB’s case. He started the draft hype on the top. As we stand almost 2 weeks away from the draft, things have changed. HC Mike Tomlin must have told him about their plans of signing Aaron Rodgers.

So, if they draft Shedeur Sanders and A-rod also commits to them, the rookie might have to sit out the season until something prevents the veteran from playing (injury). It’s hard to fathom that Mike Tomlin will bench the veteran and start the rookie. That’s not their culture. We saw it last year when they didn’t start Justin Fields, even when Russell Wilson lost 4 final games in a row.

The college QB accepted his destiny if he slips to number 21 in the draft when the Steelers draft him. He said, “If that’s the way that things play out, then that’s the way they play out. I wouldn’t question what God has planned for me.” That’s shocking.

No one had ever anticipated this. But the Steelers are also talking to other signal callers. They hosted Crimson Tide QB Jaxson Dart. Who will they draft? Things will waver more before everything goes down in Green Bay.
