Silent on Pelvic Contusion, Jimmy Butler Lets Go of a Prayer & More in Silent Social Media Activity

Have you ever sustained an injury that made you worried about how your immediate future could change? A fracture that caused you worry right before an important test? A leg ailment right before sports day? If not, then you certainly have been lucky enough to avoid the stress and worry that envelops one during that period. As an NBA player, Jimmy Butler should have gotten used to injuries. Unfortunately, the player sustaining a pelvic contusion right in the early stage of his first playoffs with the Warriors does not make it good news for anyone (well, maybe the Rockets squad), especially him. While we don’t know yet just how severe Butler’s injury is, we do know that he is looking for some divine inspiration through his favorite artists.

Jimmy Butler recently took to his official Instagram account to publish a story for his 10.1 million followers. Seeing that the IG story icon pop-up on the page would have left fans wondering. Did the player share a health update? Did he show himself returning to Houston after getting an MRI back in the Bay Area?

Unfortunately, all Butler did was share screenshots of some songs he was listening to. One of them was Godspeed, a 2025 track released by 31-year-old English-Ghanaian music artist Stromzy. The screenshot was taken when the song was at the 14-second mark, right around the same time the lyric, “I’ll let go of a prayer for you, Just a sweet word, The table is prepared for you” was being sung. So, has the situation gotten to this point that Jimmy Butler has to “let go of a prayer”?

While it may be nothing more than a coincidence, Butler’s recent social media activity would have left worried fans in the same condition.

(This is a developing story…)
