In the last two weeks, she was at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid to receive her laurel, at the TIME 100 Gala after being featured in another TIME list, at the Kentucky Derby to announce “Riders Up,” and at the MET Gala with her husband, Jonathan Owens. Wait. Did we miss adding her anniversary? Well, on May 6, Simone posted on her social media handles, “2 year anniversary [emoji] ilysfm.” It was her second marriage anniversary. On May 8, Simone Biles shared a picture on her Instagram story. It was her tired look, resting on her bed in her Texas home. The lines on the picture read, “me before I passed out last night… so happy to be home and decompress.” However, in the next story, she dropped a picture taken while sitting on the front seat of a car, hitting the road. This time, the lines on the picture read, “will be catching y’all up on my last few days soon. such a beautiful day today i love you houston.” So, that was the promise from the gymnastics queen.
