The last time we saw Victor Wembanyama in action, he swore to go all-out at the All-Star mini-tournament. Little did we know that the French big man would fall into a deep hole following that. Shams Charania, once again with his new responsibility, dropped the devastating news of Wemby’s rare condition. However, before we all lose hope, the San Antonio Spurs coach Mitch Johnson restored the belief in the NBA town with a promising update. Along with that, we brought you a crucial medical record that will prove his claim.
Ahead of tonight’s match-up against the Phoenix Suns, Coach Johnson addressed the press. Reporters almost didn’t seem to care about the Suns game. Instead, they were all locked in about Wemby’s recovery and his possible return. Early in the day, the team announced that the star baller would miss the rest of the season with vein thrombosis in his right shoulder. It’s a rare blood clot that pops up every once in a while in the NBA world.
While the team promised that Victor Wembanyama would return to the court for the 2025-26 season, there was still a sense of uncertainty looming in the air. But Mitch Johnson crushed it with his confident statement. “The medical experts and the people that are smarter than everybody in the room have confirmed he’ll be done this year and that there is no concern for Victor’s long-term health personally or anything related to his basketball activities,” said Johnson. He further added, “There is no reason to not believe that he won’t be ready to go through the start of next season,” with utmost clarity.

Firstly, we need to understand why fans were nervous despite the team’s earlier update on his return. It’s something to do with Chris Bosh. In 2015, the Miami Heat legend suffered a blood clot in his lungs and the team ruled him out for the rest of the season since it was life-threatening. In 2016, the star once again faced a clot in his legs and he was sidelined once again. and finally, in 2017, the star’s career came to a premature end after the Heat waived his contract. So, there’s a possibility to lose a fine talent to a nagging condition. But we need not worry!
This is a developing story!
