After a deep playoff run the previous season, momentum seems to be with Texas Longhorns and Steve Sarkisian. He produced a 6th-ranked class in 2024 with big names like Colin Simmons and Brandon Baker. Moved on to the 2025 class and spectacularly roped in some of the best recruits in the country. A class that ranks 1st nationally with names like Jonah Williams, Justus Terry, and Lance Jackson. Now Sarkisian wants the same for his 2026 class.
So far, Texas has roped in 4 commits in the 2026 class, which is ranked 11th nationally. The class looks scarce for now, and that is why Sarkisian is doing everything, pulling off moves and visiting prospects left, right, and center to do that. The latest addition to the class is Nicolas Robertson (IOL). A player who committed on 29th March 2025, after a long tussle between programs like LSU and Alabama. The move is said to be a big win for the team and the class, considering the quality of the player.
Hayesfawcett43, a prominent college football recruiting reporter, provided the update on Robertson’s commitment. “Four-Star IOL Nicolas Robertson has Committed, to Texas, he tells me for @on3recruits. The 6’4” 330 IOL from Spring, TX chose the Longhorns over Texas A&M & Houston”. Fawcett also wrote about the message the player conveyed, “All glory to God time to get to work m! Hook’ Em”.
