“Stressing Out”: Kyle Busch’s Wife Samantha Admits Shock as Age Starts to Catch Up

Age has been catching up with a lot of NASCAR drivers lately. At the end of the 2024 Cup Series season, Martin Truex Jr. hung up his racing helmet. The 44-year-old driver bade adieu to a fulfilling career. This year, two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch turned 40 in May, claiming that his journey is still left. However, his wife Samantha may not be taking an optimistic look at her own journey.

Kyle Busch has had a storied career on the racetrack, holding two championships and 232 NASCAR national series victories. His wife is no less talented, as Samantha Busch is a lifestyle blogger, author, and IVF advocate. Paying attention to health has been her passion, but recently brought her stress.

A sign of aging rattles Kyle Busch’s better half

When one is young, the world seems to be at the tip of one’s fingertips. Kyle Busch felt the same way in his prime, when his ‘rowdy’ race finishes were venerated in NASCAR. Presently, however, the 40-year-old faces a long 70-race winless streak, with every race chipping away at his confidence. As it turns out, he is not alone in worrying about time’s side effects. His wife, Samantha Busch, has advocated for good health with a strong voice. She penned an article on her website, ‘Build That Booty Lower Body Workout.’ She wrote about several exercises like deadlifting, goblet squats, and reverse lunges to build one’s backside and quad muscles.

In 2025, Samantha Busch switched up her regimen by omitting high-intensity workouts and focusing on strength training. Despite the enormous efforts invested in toning her physical attributes, Kyle Busch’s wife was left dejected recently. She posted an Instagram story, addressing women in her age range. She said, “My elder millennials, women approaching 40 like I am, this is my question to you. Lots of people are always like, ‘Ooh, you’ll be 40 next year. Do you feel your age?’ No, not really. Except days when maybe my back hurts. That’s the only time I really feel my age. I’ve been on this wellness journey for two-and-a-half years, put on a lot of muscle, been feeling pretty good.”

Indeed, Samantha Busch has reasons to feel good. Her alopecia problems have receded once she resumed eating red meat after 25 years. However, she was shocked to see a visible sign of aging on her lower body, specifically her knees. She continued, “Just then, the other day, I looked down and I was like, ‘What in the world has happened?’ Okay, hear me out. I don’t care if you guys say this is vain or it’s dumb, this is where I’m coming from. What happened to our knees? Like, there’s all this extra skin. They’re kind of wrinkly, and when you flex your quad, it’s got a whole bunch of lines. When did this happen? How are we combating this? Am I the only one? I know, it’s not like very important, but it came out of nowhere and it’s stressing me out.”

For an individual who has dedicated a lot of their youth to a rigid discipline, such a discovery must be jaw-dropping. Nevertheless, Samantha Busch has other things to look forward to.

Continuing their noble cause

Kyle Busch and Samantha’s love story has deep roots. They met back in 2007 and exchanged marital vows three years later. However, their wedding brought not only happiness but also tough struggles. In their quest to have a child, Samantha went through several failed attempts, including a miscarriage. Finally, she gave birth to Brexton Busch via an IVF treatment in 2015. The struggles returned again in 2020, until she resorted to surrogacy for the birth of Lennix. These challenges taught the Busch couple a lot, and also convinced them to help other people going through such problems. They launched a Bundle of Joy fund in 2020, and Samantha penned a book, ‘Fighting Infertility: Finding My Inner Warrior Through Trying to Conceive, IVF and Miscarriage.’

In an interview with Today last month, the Busch couple emphasized how dedicated they still are to their noble cause. Samantha Busch said, “We are very fortunate. Over ten years, we have donated $2 million directly to couples and have over a hundred babies born through the fund…Recently, we picked up a clinic near a military base…Unfortunately, our military does not have the coverage that they need…So a lot of the couples that we helped are military, police officers, teachers, nurses – those hardworking individuals that serve the community but don’t have upwards of $20,000.”

Evidently, both Kyle Busch and Samantha are contributing to the health of the community as a whole. Even though Samantha feels dejected about her aging signs, she can take comfort in providing happiness to many.
