“When you’ve got something to prove, there’s nothing greater than a challenge.” That quote’s been floating around Terry Bradshaw for years, but it’s carrying more weight now. Last year, Bradshaw shared he’d battled two forms of cancer. He stayed on TV, but fans started noticing changes—less airtime, slower delivery, and then that Super Bowl moment with Jalen Hurts. Bradshaw’s hands were shaking. The clip made the rounds, and questions about his health picked up again. But, the old quarterbacks never really know how to give up.
From a used-cars salesman to peanut butter ads. Terry Bradshaw has done it all right from the start of his career. The 4x Super Bowl champ had also made another splash in the equine industry recently with an ownership stake in 3 prized thoroughbred horses. But speaking of splashes, that’s not where he’s drawing the line. Something’s coming back big after months of silence.
On the official Terry Bradshaw Instagram page, a story was posted featuring a glass of whiskey with a large, cool rock falling into it. The words? “Bradshaw Bourbon is back. Now you know.” Bradshaw also announced the new IG page dedicated to his Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Now, the page isn’t exactly new, but it has been silent for months. But since last week, big things are happening behind the scenes. Bradshaw has been visiting liquor stores, finding his bottles, signing and hiding them for a few lucky fans to find. Even the new posts on the bourbon page look sleek, warm, and inviting.
Just last week on the bourbon trail, Terry Bradshaw visited the Bluegrass distillers where the Bradshaw Bourbons are bottled. Even here, he “hid some signed bottles, sold some barrels,” and even did a few meet-and-greets. With all of this, Bradshaw is diving back into the $19.35 billion bourbon industry after months of silence. And honestly, it’s hitting all the right notes. But as Bradshaw comes back to bourbon, there’s still the prospect of his contract with Fox, and the question of his retirement.
Terry Bradshaw’s deadline for Fox curtain calls
Terry Bradshaw had once jokingly said, “I told Fox: ‘If I could just die on the show, think about the ratings, right?” But jokes aside, his contract with Fox runs through the 2026 season. And at 76, Bradshaw has no intention of hanging up the hat. Bradshaw has been a constant for Fox since way back in 1994. And he plans to continue working with Fox for a little while longer, as he notably said, “I’m planning to work on one more Super Bowl as a broadcaster before saying goodbye to my Fox career.” So that brings the timeline to somewhere around 2029.

Terry Bradshaw had also doubled down on this with, “My contract with FOX is for two more years and I know I’m going to work for two more. If FOX wants me around for the next Super Bowl [the next time FOX will air the event] which is four years, If I could, I would probably stay four more years, and I’d be 80, and that’s enough. And two more years might be enough.” Terry Bradshaw retiring from Fox would be a big blow to us all, but as he himself has said, “it’s a young man’s game.” But does that mean he’s quitting everything? No, sir.
He had once quoted Billy Graham, saying, “You know, Billy Graham said, ‘The minute you retire is the day you start dying.’ – I’m not going to quit singing. I’m not going to quit giving lectures. I’m not going to stop the horse business”. And he’s not going to stop the bourbon business either. And 80 is still quite some time away. In the meantime, the old QB might hit us with even more exciting updates because it’s Terry Bradshaw, after all.
