The TKO Group has seemingly entered into a multi-million-dollar partnership with Mark Zuckerberg‘s Meta, which is now the UFC’s first-ever “fan technology partner,” as announced by Dana White through his social media handle. The 55-year-old claims that this partnership will revolutionize the way fans watch UFC content, as Mark Zuckerberg’s company plans to make use of all its platforms to provide a unique experience for the fans, but the fans don’t seem too thrilled about it.
“UFC and Meta just signed a massive long-term partnership. Meta will now become UFC’s first-ever official fan technology partner. This is great news for UFC fans because this means that Meta will use all of their bada– apps and technology on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, WhatsApp, and Meta AI to create amazing content and experiences for UFC fans,” Dana White stated in a video on X.
Furthermore, the UFC CEO has also confirmed that the new AI ranking that he was talking about is on the verge of being ready to use. For this, Dana White is also working with Mark Zuckerberg & Co. and is going to be introduced in 2025. “We’ve already started to work with Meta to create a new fighter ranking system that will debut later this year… We’ll also be using Meta’s AI-powered glasses to capture UFC content, and we will do things with Meta that will blow UFC fans away.”
Well, one fan claims not to be surprised by this announcement because he claims Joe Rogan was prepping up ‘Zuck’ for this eventual partnership, given that there are some people who do not rate Zuckerberg’s leadership in Meta.“Now we know why [Joe Rogan] has been helping Zuckerberg rehab his image,” that fan added. Meanwhile, one fan blatantly expressed having more interest in good fights rather than the introduction of AI in the UFC. “FOCUS ON BOOKING GOOD FIGHTS FOR GOD SAKE,” he added, while another fan claimed, “META is a wolf in sheeps clothing. As soon as Trump is out, you will see. This will NOT go well for UFC fans IMO,” while expressing his concern for UFC’s future with the Meta partnership.
