Shedeur Sanders was probably hoping his NFL draft stock could get a much-needed boost after Colorado’s Pro Day. But surprisingly, the opposite is happening. After he completed 62 of his 67 passes, showed off his strong deep throw capabilities and accurate passing. It seems the Titans have seen enough from Sanders. Just a day after, all of the Titans’ brass was present in Boulder to evaluate the prospect of signing Sanders. Their conclusion may not be music to Sanders’ ears.
As per NFL insider Jim Wyatt, the Titans have reportedly cancelled their upcoming private workout session with Sanders. This comes after they have watched 4 years of game film, scouted him multiple times and even attended his Pro Day. The Titans’ decision not to hold a private workout means they have zeroed in on Miami’s Cam Ward.
It’s only a matter of time before Ward heads to Music City after the NFL draft in Wisconsin. Like he was already getting lots of traction from the Titans. They not only attended his Pro Day but also hosted him for a private workout, unlike Sanders. So, the Titans’ choice to move on from their pursuit of Sanders raises a major question about his draft stock. No doubt Sanders has an appealing resume with 4, 134 passing yards and 37 TDs last year. And there’s also his incredible accuracy that saw him put a nation-leading 74% completion rate.
After yesterday’s Colorado Pro Day, @Titans brass met with Shedeur Sanders’ camp and the parties have agreed to cancel the upcoming private workout.
