Tyler Shough & Wife Provide Major Life Update After Louisville QB Sent Powerful Message to Roger Goodell’s NFL

We’re sat when it comes to a great college sweethearts story. Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough and his wife’s story is just the same. The two stuck together for most of their college lives. They got married before Shough produced his best year at college football. As he looks on to find a great team at the upcoming draft, Shough looks back on a fond memory of the couple. He also has a strong message to those worrying about his experience as he heads to the big league.

Forget football players; college students in general can’t even fathom the idea of marriage when they’re at the institution. The zeal to build a life for oneself takes precedence. But for Tyler Shough and Jordan, their position in life wasn’t an obstacle. They knew they were it for each other and wasted no time in sealing the deal. On April 6th last year, the two tied the knot before Tyler began the 2024 season. One year down, Tyler has a lot to tell his wife, who was with him when he needed the most support.

Tyler made sure to tell the world of their deep love. He shared a heartwarming picture on Instagram that featured him holding onto his wife’s hand, as she sported a beaming smile. Tyler wrote in the caption, “Happy 1 Year Anniversary to my wife!! This year has been nothing short of amazing and I can’t think of having anyone else by my side on this journey. Thank you for being you, for sacrificing everything, and pushing us towards greatness! Love you” And truly has been a great journey for Tyler on the field. This is the first full year of action for Tyler on the field, coming after a series of troubling injuries that restricted his collegiate career.

Jordan Shough used to play soccer at Oregon, following in her mother’s footsteps. Not a lot of details are known about the couple’s relationship, but Tyler arrived in Oregon around the same time Jordan was set to begin with the Ducks. The two must have hit it off from then on, and they were going solid. Jordan even followed Tyler to Texas Tech, which is a pretty tell-all notion, implying that these two will be bonded for the future.

Tyler elaborately popped the question and had some help from his NIL sponsor Thacker Jewelry. A year down, it’s clear how the two lift each other up through the good and bad now and onwards.. As Tyler bids his college career farewell, he knows he can rely on Jordan as he steps into the most crucial time of his life.

Tyler Shough doesn’t think his age is a problem

The NFL draft poses some problems for Shough. Firstly, there are way too many QBs in this year’s prospects, and not many are elite. Shough is no Cam Ward, or like other top prospects. His 3,195 yards and 23 touchdowns make him among the promising ones of the group. However, Shough’s age can be a concern to some scouts. He is currently 25, and will be 26 when the NFL begins this year. The average age of talents in the draft is in the early 20s, and Shough is already in his mid-20s.

However, he remains unperturbed. He told ESPN, that he is more than just the age tag. “I feel like I have all the physical characteristics, but I’ve kind of gone through all the mental side of it where I’ve had to, you know, go through a life of confidence, I’ve got to go through, you know, being a transfer, being injured, being cut, and all these things are happening in the NFL also.  I just love football so much and kind of just try to stay strong and stay true to it. And I feel like I’m only growing and getting better“. And there is truth to Tyler’s words. After seeing limited time on the field because of injuries, last season spoke volumes about everything he can do.

When you’ve got the goods, the game, and the zeal, there shouldn’t be any stopping for someone like Shough. He knows he has football in him, and that his age doesn’t play a factor in his skills. With a supportive wife to rely on,  Tyler is more than ready to show America what he is capable of.
