Scottie Scheffler injured his hand while making ravioli at home last Christmas. As a result, he underwent surgery, and since his return, he has yet to claim a title this season. Although he came close with finishes like a T2 at the Texas Children’s Houston Open and a solo 4th finish at the Masters, many questioned his ability to win, given his spectacular 2024. To that, he now has an answer.
At The RBC Heritage, the #1 golfer carded a 64 in the first round and is comfortably sitting at T2. Following his round, he talked about his winless streak. He said, “Well, definitely a step up from last week. Like I said at the beginning of the week, I felt like I’ve been learning a good amount this year, and my swing has continued to improve.”
Not only that, he is taking all of his performance as an experience and gave a powerful message saying, “I haven’t felt like I’ve had any real setbacks, just kind of improving, sharpening and getting a little bit better, and today was definitely a day where I hit it really nice.”
That’s right, being unable to win isn’t a setback for the 2x masters champion. Continuing on to this, the interviewer asked him what he meant by ‘learning.’ To this, Scheffler responded, “I mean learning about your swing, game. I feel like in golf you can always be learning.”
This is a developing story….
